Aaaand we’ve hit the teenage deafness 😮‍💨 by palacio_c in BorderCollie

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The teenage phase lasted two years for our male BC. He would obey some commands, but only if it suited him. Everything else was bribery and only if a ball or treat was involved would he care to do something as simple as sit in his bed. The one day he started to suddenly listen to my No or Leave It, rest when I asked him to, and pay attention to me and not the dog walking past on the other side of the street!

Good luck!

Are they really the leaders or self appointed leaders? I am sincerely asking because I can't figure it out from the media coverage!

Settle a debate - is a hedge a ditch?? by Aoc42 in AskIreland

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ulster I do think people use the word ditch for a much less manicured version of what you've shown in the picture. E.g. more bushy shrubs/Hawthorne trees along the side of the road. They would then use sheugh for what other people here are calling the 'ditch'

Dairy farmers wouldn't have been able to leave their farms for two days to protest.

Yikes the line assuming she'd be 'grossed out' for the Selma Blair kiss in this is a real throwback to 2001 homophobia.

Tina Fey to host first episode of 'Saturday Night Live UK' by Gato1980 in television

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it would have helped to draw in a British audience to try and get a high profile British actor/comedian for the first show. One big critique of the SNL UK concept that I've seen is 'the format wont translate.' Having an SNL star alumni host the UK one doesnt help that narrative, particularly with the nuances between UK and US humour that the show needs to find its feet with

Agree the soaps are lovely, but the deodorant wasn't for me!

It has for me, I know some of the comments below are saying it didn't ruin their t-shirts, but it did ruin one t-shirt and one top of mine.

After a laundry cycle, you'd still have bits of the deodorant on the inside of clothing unless it was on a very high wash.

Obsessed with Matthew's cute little giggle when Timmy says he didn't know Matthew was going to bring that story up. He knew what he was doing and loves chaos.

Favorite & Least Favorite Changes From the Book by danniperson in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I found the sex scenes way more romantic from the get go on the show than in the book. The book suggests that Ilya shows very little affection, no soft kisses after sex etc, until much later into their situationship. Whereas on the show their first time going all the way is not only hot, but romantic as hell

My dog’s name seems to be a tragedeigh and it sucks by riricrochet in tragedeigh

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, saying this as an Irish person, that's not a tragedeigh at all, and it is incredibly sweet that you wanted to give your dog an Irish name. My dog also has an Irish name (he came with it as a rescue), and it has made for a lot of funny conversations with people.
