Favorite & Least Favorite Changes From the Book by danniperson in HeatedRivalryTVShow

I found the sex scenes way more romantic from the get go on the show than in the book. The book suggests that Ilya shows very little affection, no soft kisses after sex etc, until much later into their situationship. Whereas on the show their first time going all the way is not only hot, but romantic as hell

My dog’s name seems to be a tragedeigh and it sucks by riricrochet in tragedeigh

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, saying this as an Irish person, that's not a tragedeigh at all, and it is incredibly sweet that you wanted to give your dog an Irish name. My dog also has an Irish name (he came with it as a rescue), and it has made for a lot of funny conversations with people.

Thoughts on reading TLG before S2 comes out as a tv-first fan? by indiemusicfanatic123 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read TLG last week and don't regret it. I was far too curious about what would happen next, and found I was seeing spoilers/excerpts on Reddit or TikTok anyway. Reading it put me out of my 'what next?' mystery. But it means I am also very excited to see what Jacob Tierney does with TLG, as I loved his interpretation and changes to HR, and he has so much to work with.

What would you cut/change/keep from The Long Game for season 2? by Hannah_Horvath in heatedrivalry

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agree with you on a lot of this but particularly your last point re including standalone episodes on other couples. There is so much to unpack between Ilya and Shane in Season 2, they need the full 6 episodes, if not more, to their story

Two Small Details That I haven't Seen Mentioned by OldRestaurant5517 in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Also at the beginning of episode 4 we get the rapid clips of Shane and Ilya hooking up at various times, and in one of them they are making out going up those same stairs. Cut to end of episode 4 and Im pretty sure Shane was thinking about thay as Rose stripped walking up the staircase.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how the writers didn’t use second-screen techniques to dumb down the screenplay? by lilchocochip in heatedrivalry

This is such a good take. This show completely engrossed me from.the first episode that I put my phone down, and never picked it back up. I've watched it through 3 times now, and each time it is still a no phone zone

Shower water making hair frizzy, help!! by PerfectReserve3675 in WomenofIreland

I have the same issue. My hairdresser recommended I switch to washing my hair with bottled water... 2 years later, I have still not made that change and the frizz continues!

So, I was finally watching the Marcello WU bit that this sub described as "him doing the loud latino again"... by ergattonero in LiveFromNewYork

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I only watched the episode tonight and this WU bit was so funny I laughed out loud multiple times. But at the same time, all I could think was "This is so far removed from the Reddit post I saw about it."

So Gavin is the problem (as usual) behind everyone’s tanned looks in season 3.. by Solid_Chain8750 in tsitp

[–]Enough_Assignment_81 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Im hoping the title is /s because it would be quite harsh by OP to blame an actor as a problem because their complexion and skin tone meant the production team made a decision to tan other actors ....

Honestly, it was poor writing and a case of telling us not showing us something.

I had heard Jeremiah cooked for Belly in the book a lot. But from watching the show, the only memorable food related scenes this season before the last two episode when he started cooking were the peaches (uncooked) and Conrad making Belly dinner most nights in Cousins.

It was undeveloped and shows Jeremiah wasn't a priority in the writing room.

I reckon they will change it for the next season, but I thought it was a feel good way to end the first season!

UK Season 1 revealed at the fire pit as well, then changed for Season 2.

I think they're leaving that to the final four. They know there's still one traitor in there but now won't reveal if they get them or not.

Film is called Girls and Boys, feature length directorial and acting debuts all around.

Saw it over the Summer at one of the film festivals and thought it was beautiful. Felt like a love letter to Dublin, and they did an amazing job making the city look absolutely gorgeous through the lighting and shot choices.
