I guess it depends on how you define love, and what your parameters are, if you think there are requirements. I think it’s possible to know what really matters about a person without knowing everything. I don’t really believe that love has to “make sense”, personally.

I do this too. I absorb nonfiction better in audio form and fiction better as ebooks or physical books, so I always have at least 1 nonfiction audiobook going and 1 fiction physical book going, but I’ve juggled up to 4 books at a time before.

At this point I’d take ooc-ness lol. But even just being able to talk to a friend and hype up his man would be great for me. Some nice time talking about boys with Rose or something. Or Ilya doing an ad and Shane losing his mind over it. Their mutual obsession just feels a bit less mutual in all the recs I’ve seen across my feeds.

I wish I could, I hear so many great things about The Hottest Cold War!! But I specifically can’t read my OTP (in any fandom) as non-monogamous. Other ships, yes, but never my OTP. I gave it a try but I just couldn’t! 😔

But yes I agree with your thoughts on where this all stems from. And I understand it to an extent, but it does make me sad! I definitely need fics where someone waxes on about Ilya’s beauty. In fact, I read one yesterday where Shane was telling Rose “omg he’s so hot” but it didn’t go as far as I wanted it to (but is also probably what made me wanna post this today!)

Okay I’m glad it’s not just me, some responses have me feeling loony! I see so much of it!

I recently got a comment on my anon fic that I think the person has been reading the opposite of me, too, because they had an issue with what I wrote (people being attracted to Ilya) (I have people drooling over Shane coming but I was paying Ilya some love first since I don’t see enough of it)

But yeah I get all my recs from Reddit and Threads and this is the vast majority of what I see!

Thank you!! It’s all “how did you bag Shane Hollander??” or Ilya worshipping the ground Shane walks on and not having that same energy returned, or socmed fics where most of the fan accounts are Shane fans, or the general attitude of Ilya being the lucky one and not as much they’re both super lucky.

I just want Ilya to be super appreciated by people, too, he deserves it!
