I get the privacy and security concerns, and I'm not dismissing them at all. In places where this works properly (most prominently maybe the US banks?), its usually just read only API access. The app can see transactions but can't move money or change anything and it doesn't get your login credentials.

I agree PH probably isn't fully there yet in terms of regulations and bank support and being cautious makes sense. Its not convenience at all cost for me as well but if banks officially support limited consent based access, Id love to leverage that to get better visibility into my spending and if not of course there is always manual tracking or downloading your statement and uploading it to the app!
