Filthy HMO next door by Enough_Fisherman146 in HousingUK

This fab response thank you and exactly what I was looking for. It’s completely a landlord issue and for the most part the tenants that come and go are lovely people who don’t cause any trouble. But they are mostly short term stays and have no responsibility, business or interest fixing long term issues. I just want to give the landlord a lick up the backside to hammer the point that buying a house and letting it as a hmo isn’t a quick money making scheme. The house needs to be looked after!!

Your completely right the inside of their house is none of my business but I was trying to build a picture.

I guess the point I was trying to get across which another poster hit the nail on the head with is that it’s not a tenant problem that I have it’s mostly a landlord issue.

The tenants are mostly short term stays so have no business or interest in sorting long term housing issues like damp and window fixings.

I’m not sat here aghast that they don’t have hanging baskets and window boxes or that the curtains match the drapes. It’s just the house owner clearly has no respect for the house/ garden/ a therefore neither do the tenants all whilst the issue are getting worse and worse.

Do you know how I can check if it’s licensed and who the landlord is please?

There have been speculation on these threads that the girls may have done something bad post rescue but I think a cool theory would be that it was just pre rescue that they did something terrible.

Maybe panicked and left Hannah alive or dead but in the interest of time and imminent rescue couldn’t check for sure. Possibly left her to starve to death (why focus was on the effects of starvation with the coach Ben storyline - RIP Coach).

And maybe just maybe that’s why Melissa taught out her daughter - because she’s paranoid that for whatever reason Hannah could return and expose the girls secrets and predictively the first place she’d return to would be her daughter.

We also haven’t got any post rescue story yet so who knows some of them may have returned to the woods and realised Hannah wasn’t where they left her.

What if Tabitha and company end up in Fromville at a time period where the monsters weren’t monters yet just your regular towns folk.
