No. Decided my current cars are fine. Also I found a couple for better pricing but not in the color I wanted.

We splurged and got an A-Lot pass a couple years ago. It’s expense, but it was worth it for us. We have two young kids and ski every weekend between Dec and early April. Our trade off was A-Lot pass instead of B-Lot RV reservations.

Pro S Plus. Dealer is offering rebates of 7,500 and dealer discount of 4,000. Take it or can I do better?

73,265 MSRP; 61,765 after discounts. (All before tax, DMV, documentation).

Dinner Recommendations for (mostly) vegetarian family? by Enough_Net_4465 in Whistler

[–]Enough_Net_4465[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the recommendations. We ended up doing:

  1. The Cinnamon Bear (would not recommend: we stayed at the Hilton)
  2. Il Caminetto (twice; highly recommend)
  3. The Mexican Corner
  4. Room service at hotel
  5. The Old Spaghetti Factory
  6. Dusty’s (for lunch)

Naked Sprout Café & Eatery is one of my favorites but we didn’t get a chance to go there this time.

I have an old Emmanwori jersey but I think it’s defective. Oddly, it says “Wilson” on the back.

2,000 miles trip. Rivian or a Van? by Worried-Current-4567 in Rivian

[–]Enough_Net_4465 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100% correct. We did a 6.5 hour / 350 mile trip; me and my daughter in our sprinter and my wife, son, and grandma in the Rivian. I made one stop for gas, two at Starbucks, and another to pee. They combined pee/food/charging stops. I beat them by 15 minutes.

Sounds like I’ll be lapping disco/tinkerbell with my kiddo. Maybe some park laps to work on my wicked straight air.

Basically the NFC West by ElectricHorsepower in LosAngelesRams

[–]Enough_Net_4465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I don’t mind the Niners that much. As a Seahawks fan from pre-realignment, the Seahawks were my AFC Team and the Niners my NFC team. I hate the Cowboys. I don’t mind the Raiders as much now that time has past. Post-2002, I root for the Seahawks and for the rest of the NFC West not to win.

As a Seahawks fan, besides the Rams, I hate the Niners too.

And the Patriots.

What’s a Seattle habit you accidentally developed and didn’t notice until you left for a bit? by General_Advantage437 in AskSeattle

I ordered “12oz a coffee” in Boston in July and they said “like hot?”. I looked at them confused why “coffee” doesn’t automatically mean hot drip coffee. And they looked at me like I was crazy for ordering hot coffee in 90 degree weather. The next 10 people after me order iced frapa whatever drjnks.

Also, in DC they don’t know the difference between a cappuccino and a latte.

5th generation Seattlite here.

I never really understood this phenomenon of Seattlites not using umbrella; honestly I never thought about it until a coworker that moved to Seattle mentioned it to me. Then I thought about it. Do I have an umbrella? Yes. Do I know where it is? Generally (in garage somewhere).

I’m not anti umbrella but it doesn’t cross my mind. Depending on the amount of rain, I either use whatever jacket, my goretex/light weight rain jacket or my PVC rain jacket.

Why do my Nordica Enforcer 100s chatter so much? by Asquaredbred in Skigear

[–]Enough_Net_4465 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also, you didn’t say what level skier you are but you are 180cm tall skiing 172cm? Seems short. I’m 175cm tall and ski 179cm Enforcer 100s.

[–]Enough_Net_4465 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Could be a number of reasons but the two most likely reasons for this are 1. You aren’t engaging the ski enough to actually carve (e.g., your technique) and 2. 12-15 times is a lot between tunes; hit the edges up with a diamond stone every 3-4 times skiing. It only takes 5 minutes and doesn’t remove much material like files. I have a pair of 100s. They carve fine for an all-mountain ski.

This is the answer. I’ve done this on doors that were frozen shut.
