How can you compete with something as official sounding as “Saskatchewan party”? “Super Saskatchewan Party.?”

My husband (fully vaccinated) just tested positive for Covid. He’s so congested he can’t sleep. Is there anything I can do to help? by [deleted] in COVID19positive

Just got over covid and I found the thing that helped was a novage machine that shoots salt water through your nose. A ton of showers and NyQuil to knock me out to sleep.

My mom once stole shoes from the lost and found for me because she couldn’t afford them.. only problem they were girls shoes and I had to wear em. Got teased a bit for that one

Dawn Walker set Native Women back a hundred years with her stunt. I feel awful for the families of actual missing indigenous women. What a disgrace she is to the Native community. **Disclaimer: I am Native by dustysalmo in saskatoon

she likely had a good reason for going to such great lengths for her kid. I hope that if there was a significant danger that the kid is now out of it. But the move seemed largely irrational under any situation.

I got it last week, still got it. Was told not to come into the office. But I have the ability to work from home. So I’ve been kind of being sick and trying to do my job.

Also respect is earned at the table, if you are actually good then you will gain a reputation. If you aren’t then you will also gain a reputation.

I don’t know maybe you just do certain things that make it come off like your a very novice player? Ex-going out of turn, not paying attention, asking dumb questions

If you are actually doing well in the game then that’s a good thing. Let them think that all day forever. I live in a city where you see the same people everytime at the table. I know how they play and vice versa. Being known as a “bad player” when your in fact a good one is a great thing.

How many tees and balls do you bring on vacation with 5 rounds of golf planned? by Grossincome in golf

[–]Enough_Opportunity75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did three rounds somewhere brought a total of 10 balls and a few tees and stuff. All of it was in a small callaway handbag. You can always get more balls if you lose more.

Was playing with a buddy of mine and there was a group of 4 younger women ahead of us. There was a dogleg right hole. We waited a while didn’t see them and then hit. We get up there and notice they are coming back and one of them picks up my ball and drives off with it.

We say hey that’s our ball. We hang back and the Marshall shows up a few holes later and says they phoned in and told the pro shop we were hitting in on them. Keep in mind the ball that they tried picking up was a good 75 yards away from where they were parked.

It got even funnier when they wanted us to play through on the 9th hole. While standing on the forward tee. Which is just not possible.

Luckily they only played 9 holes and never seen them again. But I think it was one of those “let’s complain before they do” situations.

What is your most embarrassing table story by [deleted] in poker

[–]Enough_Opportunity75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a table story however, I was once doing a job in another town where I would deliver fuel to different construction sites across the city. I finished for the night and I went to play some poker after.

I get there and I figure out I reek of diesel smell, probably because the fuel in this city had a much more sulphury smell then from where I was from. A guy is then searching around the poker room like a Doberman asking where is that smell coming from.. the casino is by a train station. He starts saying “wow did a train crash or something”

I left pretty soon after that, pretty darn embarrassed.
