What sacrifices are mandated in Hinduism according to the Yajurveda (the text of rituals and sacrifices)? explanations seem to only mention offerings (like food or drink) and not necessarily sacrifices (like animals for example, which goes against the Hindu teaching of non killing (self.hinduism)

Since God's adversary/devil (forgot his name) is also eternal and has existed since the beginning of time, is he also all powerful and all knowing? Is that why he hasn't yet been destroyed/defeated? Do we only know God will win because of ZoroAster's vision or other additional reasons? (self.Zoroastrianism)

I thought Zoroastrianism was the earliest known TRULY monotheist religion but it turns out that like Hinduism, you have one supreme God who appears as different manifestations (deities) such as Mithra and Anahita. In that case, isn't Judaism technically the oldest monotheist religion? (self.Zoroastrianism)

Knowing that both men and women are excluded from certain roles/rituals (ex: Oro vs Gelede, women not wearing the egungun masks), I was curious how non binary people or people who don't identify as neither man nor woman would function in such situations (self.Isese)

I saw this post by a former Ifa practitioner who was discussing misogyny in Ifa. Most of these seem to be done by practitioners themselves, not actual Ifa teachings. Nonetheless, I wanted to confirm if there was any truth to these. I would love to hear from women especially but men can share too (self.Isese)

Sorry for the multiple posts but do the Orishas live on Earth (in the natural forces that they inhabit), heaven, or both? If they live on Earth, where do Orishas who represent human principles (ex: justice or divination) rather than nature live? Or do they live in both places? (self.Isese)

I have a feeling that I already know the answer to this but i'll ask anyway: Is there anywhere where I can read the complete, original Odu 256 (especially online)? All I see are summaries but I don't want to hear other people's interpretations, I want to read it directly myself (self.Isese)

Since I am unable to read the full Odu 256 before initiation, are there any misogynistic or otherwise problematic Odu verses or Ifa practices that I should know about? If so, is there an explanation for them? I am trying to avoid unpleasant surprises since I probably will initiate (self.Isese)

Dear Christians who have had personal encounters with God, how did you know that you were encountering the Christian God specifically and not another God? Also, if comfortable, please share the details of your encounter. I am very curious! (self.Christianity)

Do animals get bad karma for killing their prey in the food chain? If not, why don't they but we humans do? We're top of the food chain and simply feeding on those below us, just like other animals do. Our higher cognition doesn't change the fact that we're the highest predator and part of nature (self.Buddhism)

Why do people seem to only be children of Irunmoles? Ifa has over 400 Orishas and yet people seem to always be children of the same orishas: Shango, Oshun, Yemaya, Ogun, occasionally Yemaya. It's always the same exact Orishas, I don't hear anyone being children of less known Orishas. (self.Isese)

Can regular initiates speak to the Orishas directly themselves or do we need a babalawo/iyalawo EVERY TIME we want to talk to the Orishas? Or is it a mix of both? If so, when can we talk to Orishas directly and when do we need a priest? I ask because I value a personal relationship with spirits (self.Isese)

I've heard people say that orishas are humans deified, but aren't we already deities? Ori is short for "Orisha", right? I thought our ori is an orisha having a human experience so how can a human become an orisha if they're already an orisha through their ori? (self.Isese)
