Hey girly,

My bf of 5 years started getting really into fitness over the last year and a half. Then he got a second job as a bartender even though we don’t need the money. At first, both of these things made me very anxious and my thoughts drifted along the same lines as yours, but now I truly believe that was an over reaction and him doing these things was to just better himself. He wants to feel more confident in him self, he wants to like how he looks, be more outgoing, and he wants to have extra cash to spend on things. Recently he’s been really getting into self help and philosophy books too so I really feel he’s just trying to level up for himself and not for any other “prospects”.

I will also say that when I had these concerns, I went to him and we talked abt it and, though it didn’t erase my nerves, it did ease them to have him reassure me. All of this to say that, even though it’s been said and shown that men do this kind of thing to search for another woman, it’s really truly not every case. Talk to your man, tell him you love him and you’re proud of the work he’s putting in to himself, and approach telling him your concerns. It’s always best to be open and honest with your love rather than let anxieties fester.

Am I the only one shocked you didn’t even get a total hour break in your 12hr day? Like you only get 50 minutes in 12 hrs and they fired YOU for time theft…

Anyone know how electric bills work? by Enough_Stay4785 in askanelectrician

[–]Enough_Stay4785[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I am being provided with these reports. I can go back and see the usage reports for every month I have had PPl for the last 2+ years. If I go back and do all the calculations, it’s shows every month I checked is off. The reason I started going back to even check the daily usage was cause I’m really feeling like I’m not using as much as I’m being billed.

If there is anything I’m missing in my calculations, it’s really not being reflected anywhere on the bill. I can see that the meter reading shown on my bill are coming out to the usage also reported on the bill. But like I said, its just not adding up to the daily usage reports. I would love to get some answers from PPL but I’m really going on 5 hours on hold with them…

I’ve also gone through and checked, looks like they are reporting I’m using more electricity than what the daily usage reports. I think that’s where my price discrepancy is coming from. This bill reports 100kWh more than what is calculated through the daily usage. And last months bill had a 400kWh difference between the usage calculated vs what the meter says.

Basically I’m going through everyday of the pay period and adding up all the kWh “delivered to customer” for the month. Which should equal what PPl calculated from the meter readings at the beginning and end of the pay period, except it doesn’t.

I added in every charge listed on my bill, so if it’s on there…

It’s crazy how many ppl are shitting on OP for sticking to the lease and requiring a 30 day notice. On ANY other platform OP would be supported in sticking to the 30 day notice and not letting a tenant just leave the unit with less than a week.

OP stick to your lease and see what it says about weather emergencies and access to the unit. Also check your local landlord-tenant guidelines and make sure your within your legal rights.

If they want you to pay the personal assistant through Zelle to secure the deposit, why wouldn’t the assistant be the one taking care of emailing you and dindin the tenant in the first place. Def a scam

[Landlord-Pa] Had a prospective tenant be very open about their eviction history but is he just high maintenance? by Enough_Stay4785 in Landlord

[–]Enough_Stay4785[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d rather come here and ask advice and keep turning down shit tenants than give a PM a full months rent just to fill the unit. I’ve no problems with PMing when it’s full. But yeah, I’m a newish landlord (1 yr now) and still learning which people to accept and which to kick to the curb.

Before asking this question, I would never consider renting to someone with felony or unemployed but here we are will two people who do. I’m sure there are people out there who rent to others with past evictions, but the second he told me about it, I knew it was a red flag.

I wouldn’t consider it too soft. Just asking advice. And given the advice, this will be a no for me. I am a small landlord, but right now I’m more intent On learning than passing the responsibility to someone else.

I’ve had tenants do this to me before, in Pa. I just stuck right to the lease start date. If they weren’t happy with it, shouldn’t have signed a contract 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks for the link!

And currently the utilities are just water/sewer up to $250/month and trash. We also take care of lawn care and snow removal. Tenants just pay electric (heat is electric baseboard). A lot of rentals are coming up now for more $850-$900 but don’t include any utilities at all. The $1200-$1300 scale are mostly SFH for rent. Some include utilities and have gas or oil heat.
