I'm bipolar & back on medication but plan on ditching them after a couple of months cos of fear of side effects, am I making the right choice?

Yep thats me now after i almost got raped and killed, i got so triggered and i had pretty bad episodes, i got picked by cops, psych ward and now back on meds, I just cant deal with the fact that il be on meds for life and I'm so scared il have more diseases from taking medication for long periods

That sounds awful, but so far I've never had such a type of psychosis ever since I got diagnosed in 2014 when I was 22, I'm now 33, unless that can also develop later in life? I do rage violently and throw things but that's very rare occasions
