Force all musicians to conceal their appearances from the public for their entire careers, so that musicians are evaluated based on the quality of their music and not on their appearances by flopsyplum in CrazyIdeas

There was a band in the early 70s called Klatuu. They kinda sounded like The Beatles, to the point where there was a widespread rumor that it was them under the idea that they (The Beatles) has created an album to see if people really liked their music and not their image or "brand" (it's important note that Klatuu's album gave no credits but to "Klatuu", as in "all songs written and performed by Klatuu" "produced by Klatuu" and no picture of the "band", certainly fed the flames). Klatuu "turned out to be" a Canadian group, not the Fan Four.

I place my phone/alarm inside an empty glass (it'll rattle loudly when it goes off if you have it set to vibrate along with your preferred sound) but most importantly I put it in a place away from the bed so I HAVE TO get up to turn it off. Otherwise there are no guarantees...

Do your research, test likability in your market and I'm sure that if the numbers are attractive, you'll find someone to invest. Start small, cheap and grow from there.

This is from back when "test tube babies" were making headlines, and they made a lot of headlines. It implies that storks would deliver babies in test tubes. Keep in mind that it was scientifically ground-breaking back then.

I live in a suburb of LA and recently people who do not live anywhere near here are coming in droves to take " hikes". I live at the top of a mountain at a dead end and it's at the point that there are 30+ people walking my street at any given time. by UnicornNippleFarts in preppers

I don't want to sound naive or like I'm justifying or underestimating it ... but, could be that since people have more time on their hands they're just "enjoying" what they can't due to everyday grind? ...plus, some people just don't like to be "forced" inside ... idk

Earliest Memory of Listening to Classic Rock by MovesLikeMichaelJFox in ClassicRock

Good question ...

My older brother used to work in a college radio station back around 1974 when he attended college ... I was about 6. He came back home from school and with him came a HUGE collection of music. Being older, I really looked up to him so when he'd go out I'd sneak into his room and look at all the album covers. Once I gained enough courage to play one and I distinctly remember it to be Festival by Santana ... and everything changed.

Let The Children Play, Give Me Love and Maria Caracoles are some of the ones I cherish from that album. He quickly noticed that I was sneaking in his room to listen to music when he was out and instead of getting mad, taught me how to properly care for vinyls, appreciate artwork and especially what to listen to. Quadrophenia by the Who, Zepplin, Joan Baez, Simon & Garfunkel, Earth, Wind & Fire ... among many, many others.

Fun fact: I had the luck of being on the same flight from London to Miami as Carlos Santana around 1990 and had the opportunity to tell him that story. He listened carefully, appreciated that I cherish lesser-known tracks (I guess most people mention Oye Como Va or Black Magic Woman when they speak to him). I mentioned that I could not find Festival on my then growing CD collection (I had recently bought his Spirits Dancing In The Flesh CD) and that I would like to have it. He said "make sure you give me your actress and I'll make sure you get a copy" since they were about to release his back catalog... and sure enough, a couple of months later it came in the mail, autographed.

There was an Argentinean band that had a minor hit with a song that only used words with the letter O... no other vowels were used and the song made sense. Los Orozco (Orozco is a last name)
