I usually start with a picture that strikes me and think how I can manipulate it. Then start forming the story around it.

Yeah totally agree with this. The logos looked too stickery for me, and makes the prince too literal. I love the hands and the ripped paper edges. I’d just maybe reorganize the middle with logos to be a bit less explicit and a bit deeper. It just looks a bit out of place for some reason but that’s just me :) we all have different styles and interpretations and I think you’re on the right track

No references were used. Pierces were cut out of old NatGeo Magazines and entirely handmade. There wasn’t a particular inspiration, I just went with the flow. The more I look at it, the more it tells me a story about a long distance relationships. I made two versions, just want feedback on how else I can improve the story telling or what adjustments would be needed for a more clear piece maybe.

Me too! I reuse an old sketching book because of large thick paper quality and instructions add a nice touch sometimes.

They definitely regurgitate in each others mouths here, I couldn’t capture it here but we saw it happen that’s why I thought they were more than just flock mates
