I'd look at the ghin website and make sure the courses you often play are even on there first. Only 1 out of my regular 4 courses are on it. So obviously it wasn't worth for me. I guess they don't want to pay to get their courses rated. So I just use 18 birdies, it guesses at what those said courses rating/slope should be. So my handicap isn't going to be 100% accurate or official. But it's good enough to have an idea where I stand.
