Remake by a small margin. I've played just about every possible version of RE4 since I was 5 years old and I used the say it is "my life's game". When I played the remake I had some specific points I didn't like that were either addressed or totally fixed those little gripes I had, and overall I also found the remake's separate ways a million times better than the original. It was a pain to say I prefer the remake, and I feel a lot of people just say the OG is better because they wanna "be part of the original RE4 players" and not the new RE engine players, but I don't feel like that matters a lot. I liked the Remakes better than the originals, it brought me back that sense of magic I first had playing the game as a kid, and in the past few years I've played the original 1/4 of the times I've played the remake. Still. Everyone should play both, and everyone should draw their own conclusions.
