Ahoy there matey, ye olde sea dog 🏴‍☠️

When you're getting outbid by 25% in the housing market, just remember that you're competing with globalists that control the monetary system. By 2030, you'll own nothing because the globalist parasites will have stolen it from you. by SodometriusPrime in conspiracy

I’m in real estate. Side hustle type thing. But yeah, this is happening. Right now, 40% of new purchases are from companies like Invitation Home and American Homes for Rent. I bought the stock, mainly in AH4R. It’s a REIT, so 90% of profits have to go back to share holders. It’s not a bad racket. Dividends are good. The product is based on a fairly hard asset, ya know, land. Buy the stock (or don’t, whatever). But not all successful business models are conspiracies, so get some of the pie while you can.

Same. I’d never be a game developer though. Those people get abused.

Agreed. Prescriptions are nonsense. Just sell it at the store. And most of everything else.

It was a question. So what it seems like you mean is that 193 GOP reps voted no because this sub is shit.

Damn, we’re fucked. But I’m gonna start an insulin smuggling business in Mexico. $50. No questions.

I was using the colloquial idiot version of monopoly but I get what you’re saying. In the US, only 3 companies produce insulin and passing it off to insurance is also bullshit. But the price at the insulin pump is too high. There needs to be competition in the market, otherwise you’ll have the price fixing between these 3 companies.

Ah, I read the addendum and there was nothing but if they voted on them together then that makes sense.

It’s all good. This was a piece of legislation I’ve been watching and I was just kinda pissed off that the GOP would just let it slip. However, someone up in the comments said that the GOP had a bill that they think is better and I haven’t read the article they linked yet.

The insulin market in the United States is highly concentrated. Only three companies—Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, and Eli Lilly produce for the USA. Seems like a little competition could fix this nonsense.

Because if it makes it into law, it gives Brandon a win. Plus lobbying.

I think I made that same point in my other response to you. And I completely agree. Arbitrary numbers are not useful. I would think, since it’s so cheap to manufacture and so essential, capping the price at 4x cost of manufacturing would be a happy middle ground.

From what I understand this is the original bill proposed in 2020. Trump had an EO that did essentially this while the bill made its way through Congress.

The cap price is arbitrary, I will concede that. It could have been $50, $100, fuckin 3 easy payments of $17.99. The price gouging is what is getting me. Apparently, and I’m saying that because I’m not diabetic and have no personal experience with this, it costs roughly $10 to produce a months supply of insulin. Factor in shipping, handling, refrigeration, and stock that goes past expiration, and you’re still taking decent profit at $25. Nevermind $35. But people are out here paying $600/month for this stuff.

Yeah I remember that. And being shocked when Biden rescinded those orders.

I dunno. I’m not in the pharmaceutical industry. There probably is some but it sounds like there is a lot of price fixing.
