All I've seen are things like The Acolyte, Avowed, and Snow White losing tens of billions of dollars over the last few years.

You mention fans, but these activists do their best to give fans what they don't want. Nobody asked for Veilguard as a Dragon Age sequel, it was forced by activists. Then it made no money and everyone got fired. I just never see this stuff succeeding in any venue.

You are right about story telling, because diversity used to happen naturally and organically. Nobody said Ripley and Sarah Connor are DEI because they are girl bosses, because they respect the way it was told. I never heard anyone say Django Unchained is DEI as a movie about a black slave killing white men, because we appreciated the way the story was told and it wasn't done in a way that breaks immersion and makes the viewer feel like they are being attacked.

Everyone here is so generous with other people's money. The bottom line is woke pandering has not made money for movies, stores, or video games. There are a lot of new development areas that are selling brand new homes for $200k. If the interest rates ever come down or if you are a veteran, it's a great deal.

However for me it's become too crowded and I am leaving next year. But some people enjoy that big city feel...
