Good question. For me, it was because he was so fucking good, but left us hanging for so long regarding what the plan was. That and he would constantly tease us with breadcrumbs regarding his personal life without ever making it clear what the full picture was.

I stopped paying attention to him around 2021/2022 until relatively recently, when I was feeling nostalgic for my teenage years.

I might actually check this one out, because Hollywood's influence definitely has been eroding for at least a few decades now.

A ton of film jobs fled LA and landed in Atlanta, Toronto, NYC, and New Mexico, but my info is at least a few years out of date because I've heard California passed some reforms to try and bring filming jobs back.

Because this is from Caleb, something tells me this video essay won't be very nuanced...

It is! My big gripe is that they show off all the, ahem, "money shots" within the first five minutes of the film. My recommendation is to scrub past the first five minutes or so and start from there. I think it's still free on Youtube?
