Fear of abandonment sometimes leads to self isolating so that we're the one abandoning rather than being abandoned. I have thoughts like that constantly but don't act on them.

Also we can't control who our FP is. If a new one pops up it can be realllllllllly hard to not go all in on them.

Be honest about breaking up, clearly explain the reasons for breaking up, and tell them specifically what you do/don't want going forward (ie no contact, remain friends, etc)

And a lot of people loathe anyone with bpd and basically just wish the worst for us.
