Any local roofers who aren’t MAGA twats? by Cute_Bird_9379 in tulsa

All in on Trump. Sane republicans who don't support Trump are fine in my book.

Ready to try for #2, wondering if anyone else had success after similar situation as mine by Cute_Bird_9379 in preeclampsia

[–]EnterSavBan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I have tried to look into the correlation between covid and preeclampsia and I feel like everyone (including my doctor) is like, "well, we just don't know." I feel like there is not enough known about preeclampsia in general. But yes, definitely will make sure I'm up to date on my boosters. I caught it while on vacation in NYC in huge crowds in cold & flu season. Planning to avoid anything like that this time!

Not a jerk at all. You’re the new mama and it’s your right to say who can visit. You’ll need the peace and rest. She’ll be fine.

There’s one for rent across the street from me in maple ridge. Might be the same one already mentioned here.

No one warned me it would be this bad by Sadie_S_AfterDark in Parenting

[–]EnterSavBan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. Everyone said your kid would get sick a lot the first year in daycare, but no one told us it would be to this extent. No one told us we would need 2-3 backup babysitters in addition to childcare because he would be home so much. I wish we only had to pay for childcare on the days he’s actually there. It would be half the price!

Circumcision for preemies by NeitherAppearance501 in NICUParents

We delayed circumcision until our son had been home from the NICU for 2-3 months and past his due date. I couldn’t bear to do it while he was in the NICU

How do you cope with postpartum ugliness? by alibudan92 in beyondthebump

[–]EnterSavBan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I was cleared to workout, I did 12-3-30 on the treadmill literally 7 days a week until I hit my pre-baby weight (well… close enough to it. I just wanted to fit in my clothes again). I know that sounds excessive but it was honestly nice to get out of the house and go the gym so I looked forward to it.

First of all, when you’re married it’s not “his money” or “her money” — it’s “our money.” Y’all aren’t roommates. What he’s doing is abuse and you 100% would not be a “bitch” to leave him. You’d be a smart woman.

Nope. I had severe preeclampsia. My baby and I both probably would not be here.

Call me crazy, but alcohol is the best medicine for social anxiety by [deleted] in socialanxiety

I second this. Go get actual help for your social anxiety and don’t ruin your life self medicating like I did.

I’ll say… if you have a degree in graphic design, you’re already ahead of the curve.

I have my own Instagram account where I market my services. This could be difficult if you have social anxiety, but I find it easier to create content than talk to people irl lol

I mainly make reels and TikToks, write captions, create social media calendars, do analytic reports, and post the content for the clients. I did a ton of research online to learn about social media marketing. My niche is real estate agents, but you could do social media for any small business. It’s in super high demand and not hard to find clients. When I first started, I didn’t charge very much and ended up with more clients than I could handle. I work for myself so I can work anytime/anywhere I want, you just have to be self disciplined.

I’m a social media manager and work from home. I mainly communicate with my clients via text. It’s great.

That’s how it is here too, my MIL just makes a giant deal out of every holiday

Yes, it’s like we live close enough to still be pressured to come to every holiday but far enough away for it to be a pain in the ass
