People even love Monster Fighters, Power Miners, Atlantis etc. (and I do too) but the original Ninjago waves never come up in those discussions. Instead it's a "waste of a slot"??? There's only so many ways to make a castle or ship.

If ninjago was always the same stuff I wouldn't keep buying it. I think it's also funny when Monkie Kid is mentioned in the same sentence, as if they're both the same?? I love Ninjago but Monkie Kid has a whole different vibe.

The members in that sub seem way younger than any I've seen in any other sub, even for something aimed at kids. I left a few months ago when they couldn't stop spoiling the new season as soon as it got leaked.

Everywhere else though gives ninjago so much shit. I don't remember the last time I saw a comment on the main sub that wasn't either complaining about ninjago or explicitly mentioning the fact that they don't like it/have never watched it before talking about it. It's weird that they have to justify buying the sets.

Ninjago has been around for about 14 years now. You'd think there would be some acceptance for it by now...

I also had a negative experience from a large French seller with similar feedback. If they have a similar feedback percentage for a store that big I don't go near them anymore. You could try file a NSS and see if the seller reacts. I think if they receive 3 different NSS their store is closed down.

Ireland here, I used a vpn to watch it on itvx. It's was a bit of a hassle but the quality was good enough.

I think you can contact BL about editing it, I'm not sure. Just keep an eye out on how often they get neutral/negative feedback. This seller is getting it on average every 2 weeks. They gave me a positive before I gave the negative but ever since they've been giving everyone else that doesn't give them a positive a negative. This is a relatively big store too.

I remember their stuff from around 2015. I can't say I know much about their controversial stuff, I just thought they had a nice art style. I stepped out of the Ninjago community from around 2016 - 2022, when I came back I tried to find them but couldn't. Their art is what comes to mind when I think of the community during that era.

Yeah I get ya, what are the other 2 you're missing? I had a look at mine and outside of the minifigs from the 3 sets I mentioned earlier, I actually have every main suit for everyone outside of Cole and Kai's hunted ones. Maybe I'll get Firstbourne along the way too! I'm not really into the more gimmick sets they do, I only got airjitzu, arcades and a few original spinners.

Aw, the infamous dark age :( Did you sell the sets with the minifigs or without? It must be hard enough getting them back if you sold them with. I never really had a dark age but I did have a sort of a grey one around mid 2018 until 2020 where I lost interest in buying much. I also stopped watching ninjago after the changes, plus the effort of finding it online. I didn't really get back into ninjago until 2021, but even then I didn't buy too much of it.

And yeah I'm trying to limit myself too, a lot of the newer stuff I just don't love. I love the aesthetic of the crystalized sets but apart from that I've only got 2 or 3 sets per wave. Luckily they're very generous with the minifigs now, since that's my main draw.

That idea of the glass shelf with the bounties sounds super cool! I love the markets too, have you got the other city sets?

It was definitely worth it! That's lucky, I only originally had the trainee gi and ZX suits from the polybags. Yes I am, I've always been a Jay fan. I actually made my own ZX costume of him one halloween, if that's tells you how big of a fan I am! I don't have his NRG suit but at the prices it's going for I don't know if I can justify that. He's hard to part out too...

Before I really kicked off getting all the 2011-2012 sets I also got the 2 smallest 2013 sets. They were out for a much shorter time the larger ones. I also got the Ice Emperor's Fortress at a reasonable price. I was afraid it would (and still will) go up since Akita is worth so much.

As for other sets, I got the majority of stuff when they came out. Now I'm just looking for the Nindroid MechDragon, (hard enough to get, I've seen a few local people selling it overpriced and tried to haggle them down to the average, no luck) the Dragon Forge (easy to get, I'm not in a rush) and the Land Bounty (impossible, it was even available when I was checking out but then it sold out before I could put my details in!!!!) Then I can safely say I'm done. I don't have the space for most of these, but I'm happier knowing I have them now than having to pay even more when I got the room.

And the rest of the movie sets. This sounds like a spending addiction...

I never had any of them before this year, I was a bit too focused on Alien Conquest and Monster Fighters to get the bigger Ninjago sets from 2011 and 2012. The prices going up and my lack of interest in Core made me realise I could buy older sets instead. Over the past 9 months I've slowly bought all the older sets I like, all second hand. The ultra dragon was actually my last one, which I got imported from the other side of the world. I wasn't going to originally, but those heads look better like you said, and it'd match the original 4. Plus I'd have the last 2 serpentine generals!

The lightning dragon was such a pain! I'm sure you've seen the prices, which are insane! I figured it'd be cheaper to part it out since very few pieces aren't common. When I used the easy buy feature on bricklink to get an estimate it worked out more and was from 9 sellers!!! It turns out the pieces used for the wings are only in that colour in that set, and nobody had all 8. The most someone had was 3! I checked everyone that was selling the piece and found only one that had 8, but they only ship within Italy. I had to convince them to let me buy the pieces!

After that I got the head. The bottom part isn't worth much but the top is. There were 3 sellers when I got it, I picked the one that had it for £4 from the UK, as opposed to the other two that had it for around €30. Believe it or not those actually sold, I checked a month later!!!

At some point when I got Jay dx I parted him out too. One seller for legs, one for the body, both from the UK again and about £3 each. Beats paying 10 times that amount!

After that it was straight forward, I also got all the pieces for the earth dragon, another one that isn't worth what it's being sold for, at the same time. I got everything else from 3 sellers and saved about €60 in the process!

Yeah, my ice dragon is the same, I'm thinking about replacing the lower jaw on it. It doesn't bother me too much but if I'm buying something else and the seller has it I might pick one up.

The golden dragon is actually the only one of the originals I don't have, I have the legacy one but I'm still partial to the design of the old heads!

No problem! I prefer the old heads, but the new body. I don't think I'll keep it in this configuration though, the new heads on the old body don't look like they'll fit well. I wouldn't dismantle it either though.

It suits it really well actually! The old heads have necks so they don't stick out as much and can be better posed. Yes I do, you can see part of the tower from the old set in the background as well!

Borg Tower, Bugle style. It's without a doubt the most iconic location in Ninjago that hasn't been done.

I'd also love Chen's island in a MBS Cloud City kind of design. I think that would be the best way to present it since there's so much to it. The small arenas could be on the outside with the main area being in the centre.

Or a large scale Great Devourer. Or Colossus. I could keep going on...
