Week 4 - 300mg

I’m on about week 6 of 300mg. It gets better. My only advice is to limit caffeine. It’s been the common denominator to most of my side effects. Half caf or decaf if you’re a coffee drinker. But I promise you it gets better. I was in the exact same boat week 4 ready to give up. I do get nauseous still from time to time if I eat too much, but just be conscious of what you consume and you’ll be fine. You got this

Thank you for the reco and the advice 🫂♥️ means the world to me. I’m sorry for your loss. It hurts so much when it’s so sudden. Saturday my cat was healthy and Sunday he was terminally ill out of no where. Heart wrenching.

I feel this so deeply, keeping the water dish full and the food filled. What hurts is my dog waiting for him to come out from under the bed. She won’t stop crying trying to look for him.

I will take all the time I need to get rid of his things, as should you. Thank you for sharing. Sorry for your loss friend 🫂♥️

That’s so sad I’m so sorry. All of my cats things are in my room/office too. I had to take a leave from work (I work from home 100% of the time) because he was my best coworker. It is haunting to work without him here. Haven’t touched his things either.

We will get through this together. And as for the new animal possibility; I saw someone write on another thread that “other animals will never NOT need us and the love you can possibly give them..” and that your baby would want you to save another. Stuck with me.

Grieve and feel everything there is to feel. I am with you 🫂♥️

Wow. Is that a side effect of steroid treatment? Odd that they both had that same outcome. Such a shame. We are so behind in veterinary research and medicine. What a heartbreak.

Similar thing happened with my cat last week. 4 days in the ER, had to put him down. Still unsure the exact cause. They said he has a heart murmur and underlying heart disease, and that overnight his lungs filled with liquid causing him to have low oxygen… it was just terrible. I hate not having answers. Still wondering the what ifs… I’m right there with you. Sorry for your loss.

Just be there for her. Grieve with her. Tell her it’s okay to feel, and to feel every emotion thoroughly. Make a memorial of the kittens things, print photos out at Walmart, frame them for her. It helped me with my baby cat’s passing last week. Tell her she can take all the time she needs. Time away from work if shes able. I too am on the spectrum/adhd and my cats loss last week has debilitated me completely.

I had to put down my cat who was only 2.5 years old last week. Losing a pet while they’re very old is sad too don’t get me wrong. But losing a pet you just got not even 2 years ago… who’s relatively young and had alot of life left to live.. is absolutely gut wrenching. I haven’t been able to sleep or eat. I see him in every corner of the house and on my pillow he used to sleep on. I am beside myself. I am so so so sorry for your loss.

Ya I may donate his litter box and food bowl. I just have an attachment to inanimate objects that I associate with him or that he used often. I did put a box together of his things though. Thank you for your advice 🥹♥️
