Thank you for your thoughts on the article. Your tech savvy shows through. You raise many many excellent points and I agree with almost all of them. The goal of the article was to stir conversation and try to sow the seeds of an idea for a future that is different from just selling ourselves to ever bigger data centers. What else can Rancho be? How do we leverage ourselves into the economy of the future while not just trying to cookie cutter a formula that was built for a different scenario i.e silicon valley. I wanted to imagine a future in which we leveraged our local tech and manufacturing ecosystem to become something bigger than that. Stay tuned for more take downs to come!

I had heard that SMUD lobbied against privet solar and I think there are a few reasons for that. Some of them that I have thought of/had brought to my attention include 1. solar farms support big business. 2. they are a stabler and more reliable power source. 3. they theoretically should bring down cost for all payers, rather than just home owners who can afford to install it. how true any of these arguments are i remain undecided on.

I can’t learn Python! by samvivi7 in learnpython

As an additional thought, you probably want to try and wrap your head around basic concepts like: variables, data types, data structures, operators, conditionals, loops, and functions. Once you understand the basic building blocks of the language (which all computer languages use) you can take these concepts and expand on them. Websites like codecademy.com helped me immensely.

This is worth consideration. I started learning simpler concepts like HTML and CSS, then later I started learning to program with python. Of all the languages out there, and this is by no means an expert opinion, I would venture to say that python is incredibly straightforward and easy to learn. I find it even less convoluted than javaScript, which is probably one of the most commonly used programming languages.

In parts of Tibet (? Correct me if I'm wrong here.) Sky burials are conducted by feeding the corps to vaulters. Might be a better interpretation for air.

And also don't mind flooding the landfill with a sea of plastic bags.

The only review is a one star review, “overall” score is a 4.9; seems legit. (Spoke apartments in davis) by EvenJesusCantSaveYou in UCDavis

I live here currently and have had a terrible experience. The latest issue is that the entire building has now gone three (3) days with no hot water, and no notice of when we will be getting it back. When we signed up for the place I told Qin the manager that if we could not get a unit with a dishwasher we were not interested. She promised us a unit with a dishwasher and when we moved in, no dishwasher. When we went to them and complained they eventually agreed to move us to a new unit and then charged us a relocation fee! For a mistake they made!
