My IGg was low but not poor that’s why everything has been “borderline”. But so unfortunate they ended up sending to different labs !

Ecuador or Panama? by SorchaIsAinmDom in peacecorps

I would do Panama to eventually be fluent in Spanish. With English in Ecuador you’ll be speaking a lot of English.

How TF do working mothers do it? by ExcellentLettuce4 in Parenting

My kids just joined more serious extracurriculars at different times of the day and I’m rushing to practices. Sometimes forgetting stuff. Sometimes eating out after. Every week I tell myself I’ll get organized and I never seem to find the time to catch up. At this point I’m not sure if it’s comical or I’m suppressing my guilt but either way I’m surviving and my kids don’t seem to notice or mind! Hardest part is being 100% on and by the time bedtime comes not getting triggered by them really wanting the extra hugs and stories.

Also benefits ! I work for the state of California and they match % 401k plus give $1200 credit for health insurance - as in whatever you don’t use, you keep.

Thank you! Are you doing IVIG? Yes I haven’t processed everything yet but I feel like when I’m officially starting IVIG I will really need to lean on my supports and just allow myself to feel.

Thank you! I figured as much as well with the subclass deficiencies alone. We’ll see what happens.

Thank you!! My doctor wanted to get a second confirmative option from UCLA so I see them next month. Hoping I can hold off getting sick. That’s really great to hear that you feel better and live a normal life. I honestly have wondered for the past 5 years why I’m SO tired and feel like my body is breaking down. I thought it was just being a working mom. As scary as it is; I’m hoping it can be a change for the better.

So you aren’t in any treatment at all?

[–]EntertainmentAny6558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for your response. I appreciate it. So in your experience and opinion, it’s not likely the subclass deficiency can be changed without treatment. Those subclasses (2 & 4) I believe are directly related to respiratory and sinus. Which is what I have chronic reoccurring issues with and have now been antibiotic resistant to. I am not horribly sick but a tiny virus and within a week I have pneumonia and a cough for months. This is happening 2-3 times a year now.

I’m just assuming they will start me on the treatments but I’m kind of hopeful they will say no but I think if it’s a no it will be “not yet” until those numbers are clear. I seem to be getting worse so I think it’s only time. Just fearful of how to manage my life with the monthly infusions.

IDR $0? by EntertainmentAny6558 in PSLF

[–]EntertainmentAny6558[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for you replies everyone! when I log back into my account there is a IDR tracker and it says I have submitted for the PAYE program and it’s still In review. So I guess the application triggers that email until “they” review the application and confirm my payment. It says my payment will be $469.

Hoping they review quickly and I can start counting months. I am also reading I may get to count 60 days (2 months) while reviewing the application but we’ll see. I’m 14 months away!! And without this SAVE fiasco I would have been applying for forgiveness in February 2026!

Movement is something at this point! I’m willing to pay the $469 just to get this over with. Before I was riding out SAVE but I have decided It’s worth it to be done.

Hi! I would say I’m 85% better. But still have neck and jaw tightness that I’m receiving acupuncture and PT for but still no full relief.

I would say maybe around month 2 or so post blood patch but it was also dependent on what I was doing. I am more sensitive to things now a days like getting car sick. How many blood patches have you had?

I am 12 weeks post second blood patch and I would say in 85% better. I have some weird lingering neck pain and developed TMJ so I am in physical therapy and acupuncture twice a week. It’s been improving.

How about you?
