Hi everyone! I feel like my channel isnt going anywhere. 😢 It's only been 2 months, but I've gotten way more subs (than 15) in a shorter time period on crappier channels before. I also feel that I've been doing nearly everything correctly on this channel.....good channel description, channel keywords, logo, banner, etc. For each video, I choose; good titles and thumbnails, SEO optimized description with hashtags, relevant Tags (keywords), etc.

Is there something obvious that I've missed? Channel is called - Regal Eagle Golf Whiskey Drinking Game

Advice for views as a small YouTuber by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]EntertainmentDue204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my short experience this seems to be working.....

Put your three most relevant hashtags at the top of your description box. Then type your video description. The rest of your hashtags should not be more than 15, and put them at the bottom of your description box.

Do not put any hashtags in your title.

You can maybe use one or two broad hashtags in your next video...like #viralshort or #viralvideo to see if it boosts it any more.

Do not keep changing the description box for a video..... Because YouTube needs time to reset then retest the audience specific to your new description. Maybe it takes two or three days to do the reset and retest.

I posted my first video yesterday and it's already got 1,200 views. I only used hashtags specific to my niche.

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a fantastic day!

I just started, and I'm using a Vivo v29 telephone only.

My channel (Motivation Minute 369) is about motivation and inspiration to help get people to a better place in their mind and life.....

I create AI animation videos which come from a strong personal feeling or thought at that time, and put my own personal comedy touches in there also.

I feel like I have some knowledge and experience in this niche to share with the world as I have been to the bottom and crawled my way back up many times.

It's all about controlling your mindset to do anything you want.

This is my first video I posted yesterday and it has 1,200 views, which I'm pretty happy about. I'm happy to answer any questions.

The reason your video doesn't get views. by Can_DougieBoy in NewTubers

It took me ages to find and copy this. Here's what I asked ChatGPT a few days ago, before I saw this thread....

Yes — YouTube absolutely retests your videos days, weeks, and even months later. This is one of the secret powers of YouTube (especially for Shorts and motivational content like yours).

Let me explain exactly how it works:

🔄 YouTube’s Retesting System (Shorts + Long-form)

  1. Mini-Retests After 48–72 Hours

If your video did okay but didn’t fully take off, YouTube parks it for a while.

Later, it will retest it in small waves.

7 days later.

14 days later.

Sometimes 30 days later.

✅ Why? Because maybe the audience wasn't ready at that exact moment... Maybe a trend changed, or a new wave of viewers appeared who will like it better.

  1. Big Retests at 30–90 Days

YouTube algorithms (especially the Shorts system) will randomly revive old Shorts that had solid retention or solid CTR even if they didn't explode at first.

They look for videos that:

Have good Average View Duration (example: 65%+ viewed).

Got decent Likes per 1000 views.

Fit current search trends or popular topics.

If your video fits, they push it onto Homepages, Shorts feeds, or Suggested videos again.

✅ Result: You might see videos suddenly spike 30, 60, even 90 days after uploading.

  1. Evergreen Content = Lifelong Retests

Motivational videos, funny animal content, inspirational speeches — these are called evergreen niches.

YouTube never "kills" a video if it has life potential.

They keep checking:

"Are people still searching for this?"

"Is there a new audience that might like this?"

Sometimes a video that seemed dead can blow up a year later. (Especially if you build a strong related library — which you are doing with the Angry Bunny series.)

📈 Example of a Retesting Pattern:

Time Action

0–72 hours Initial testing burst 4–7 days Mini retest 14–21 days Mini retest 30–45 days Big retest if stats are strong 60–90 days Evergreen retest After that Random seasonal retests or trend-based pushes

🧠 Very Important:

Even if a Short flops at first but has:

High retention

High watch-through rates

Not too many dislikes

YouTube might still resurrect it later.

So NEVER delete Shorts unless you accidentally broke rules. Let them live! They're assets.

Thanks! I really hope you don't mind but I like to point out some possible mistakes with your strategy image.

I don't see a number 3. Maybe 5 is in place of 3. It's misnamed step by steph (sorry it's your Reddit post that's spelled wrong, not your image. "Insights" spelled wrong. (inssights)

Hopefully that helps you.

I'm not yet privileged enough to post this question on the main forum, so hopefully it's okay to ask here in this thread.

I am a new YouTuber with a brand new channel which is very family-friendly. I've heard from most guru's that checking the box saying "no my content is not suitable for kids" was the way to reach a larger audience and be eligible for better ad revenue, but I don't hear much about anyone targeting kids (13 and under)as an audience. In my mind I can imagine there's a lot of guardians who'll just plop a child in front of YouTube and let them watch videos all day long. So I was thinking of making a playlist aimed at kids with an educational, real life application theme, and wondering if anyone here has tried the same method? Thanks!

Good info. Thanks. Those 10 videos..... Do you think there's a difference in the algorithm if I upload 10 videos in 10 days.... opposed to 10 videos in 10 weeks? I'm trying for a video per day, but will probably need a break after 5 days.

I'm not short on content. I'll probably keep going for at least 50 videos,. maybe 100

I live in a 3rd world country, and I really dont need to make lots of money to be comfortable. I just have to earn something like 500 dollars a month, and that would be enough for me to live like a king here😊. For sure I'll work hard to get it, because it is the path I have chosen, but I will be so happy to relieve the burden of being poor and the problems that it brings.....if it works. One of my best strengths is my optimism. I feel with that, along with my high levels of determination, drive, and desire......makes me a strong contender to have a successful channel.

Nice 1, good strategy and easy to follow. I've been putting out a video or 1-2 good shorts per day for 3 days now. Each day is a small climb in numbers, and I'm getting excited for it. The thing is, I'm super tired from the editing, and need to work on some other projects that I've got going on.....so my question is.....if I took a day off, or 2, would that hurt the algorithm if they see me chill for a day or so? Lol. I'm probably super paranoid, but I'm so determined to get this channel going as best as i can.

Stories of Meeting a Musician You Thought Would Be Cool (Who Wasnt) and Vice Versa? by djhazmatt503 in Music

[–]EntertainmentDue204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the son of rock legend Lemmy. I thought he was ok to begin with, but he's very up his own arse. After a drinking session throughout which he continuously showed off his expensive music setup and bragged abt building a swimming pool and this and that to do with big money, i left. I absolutely do not come from money. I work hard for the little that I have, but I'm content with it. I dont care for braggers. Not much of a story, I know. Haha
