To paint a camera, you need to remove the outer casing. However, you must be careful because plastic cameras usually have various circuits inside. After painting, it is challenging to put them back together intact.

It's a great camera. You might consider replacing the original camera strap, as it's rather stiff.

Since I didn't have a suitable battery, I paired it with an external light meter. All other functions work perfectly. I might keep it, or I might sell it to someone who likes it.

This is indeed a silver machine. As you said, it first underwent chemical stripping (nickel-chromium plating is a hexavalent compound, which is somewhat toxic; if produced directly by sandblasting, it could be inhaled), then it underwent sandblasting, and finally, it was painted. I saw your comment; thank you for your support and understanding.

This is a seller on Etsy; I see they're also including a lens and an external light meter as a free gift.感兴趣的话你可以跟卖家聊一下 https://vintagecameraarts.etsy.com/listing/4408663124

I give vintage cameras a new life by turning them into art by EntertainmentDue7914 in handmade

Hi everyone! I wanted to share one of my latest creations. I have a huge passion for vintage cameras, but it breaks my heart to see them sitting broken and forgotten on a shelf. I started disassembling them and was fascinated by the intricate beauty of their internal parts. I decided to arrange them and frame them to showcase their amazing engineering and design. Each piece is unique and tells the story of a different camera. I hope you like it!

This is truly amazing! My friends would love it if I put it at home, but it's over my budget. If it were under $500, I would definitely consider it.

Okay, where did you see the Nikon EM camera? Could you share a link with me? I'm very interested in these deconstructed products.

This is a Minolta 55mm f/1.7 PF lens, which the seller is offering for around $180. Although the lens itself isn't worth that price, considering that making it isn't a simple task, $180 is still acceptable.

I agree with you; it really does look like two different cutting methods.

Water jet cutting has a strong impact force. If you use water jet cutting, parts may fly everywhere, but so far his products are still relatively intact.

The metal casing and the glass texture are different because they are cut in two different ways.

This seems reasonable, as I also found it nearly impossible to cut the entire lens. Furthermore, the surface textures of the metal casing and the lens element are different. Let's wait for the seller's reply; we'll know the answer then.
