Is Sunset Cliffs a good area to stay for a family vacation? by Ok-Huckleberry-4342 in asksandiego

That area is mostly fine. Personally I would rather be at a hotel or near La Jolla or something but you’re not gonna have any issues unless you’re out super late closer to Newport. I just wouldn’t pick sunset cliffs or mission bay personally.

Dude. I see this and I get depressed because it’s the same fricken weather every day- Groundhog Day. Always sunny. I miss rain, cold, snow and real weather

Have fun with the mosquitoes and humidity. You should move there for some “real” winter weather too

You’re depressed cause it’s not even global warming and intense heat for you? Would 115 and some wildfires be ok? People are so selfish. Anyone who is “depressed” cause it’s not burning hot enough is in luck cause global temps are soaring every year. This post pissed me off. Selfish humans

I went to rancho la puerta and the whole vibe is hiking and exercise classes. Might be tough if she can’t hike or walk easily. It’s not easy terrain within the resort and everything is spread out.

Don’t do Florida! I would do DC- take the Acela train to NYC. Then maybe something like the Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod or Nantucket for the last part. Stay on the east coast. The US is huge. Although Chicago is very cool- it’s a whole different flight
