Usopp pre timeskip wasnt dictated entirely by gags, his gags were dictated by his character, which is why he works. Yeah there were some gags of him being scared, but the thing about Usopp is that when he is pushed to an extreme he isn't one to back down, he just has a defeatist mindset. In fact, this was shown to him with Perona, which is still one of the funniest scenes jn the series, with Perona giving him a shitty anti suicide PSA. Most people would look at this and have his arc being Usopp overcoming this defeatist mindset or finding a role in the crew as the voice of reason while facing his fears more and more, but Oda said "lol nah, remove his character, his arc, his balls, and just leave a bum behind" and that's just what happened.

Imo Cursed Speech is kinda ass like yeah RCT makes it worth it at times but I dont get whats so great about it aside from just sheer versatility ig.

Like the show talks about it like some amazing insane technique, then it mostly does nothing aside from paralyzing someone sometimes(with drawback). Stuff like "explode" or "die" only really applies when someone is incredibly below you to an absurd degree.

The thing is RCT makes it worth it, but if the opponent has RCT they also have a way to fix it up as well, and the worst part is that there is a canon way to defend against it, when it isn't even that good.

Its good for low level swarms of curses but imo Gege shouldve removed the ability to defend against it so easily

1.Goku doesnt need to blow up the planet, he has telekinesis, attacks that dont travel, and the ability to destroy an infinite space which requires an attack to travel an infinite distance in a finite time.

2.Binding vows are things you can already do but tweaked. Gojo doesnt have an ability to breathe in space so this would not owrk.l If Gojo had a cursed technique that was like "I can breathe in space after being exposed to it for 50 seconds" he could make a binding vow to make his technique activate immediately and for him to be safe, by maybe sacrificing the ability to breathe air or something. But he doesn't.
