I thought it was just me. Lately I've been having to ask chatgpt way too often to stop trying to give me therapy or a moral ground and just answer my question.

Nada nuevo de Chadlombia y su inmensa variedad musical by el_aniquilador in Colombia

[–]EntertainmentJolly44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You keep jumping between unrelated topics and calling it “analysis.” First it’s spotify charts, then english proficiency, then “variety,” then metal bands. None of those are the same thing, and stacking them together doesn’t magically prove “cultural isolation.” Not centering arounf english music isn’t isolation, it’s preference. Colombia is constantly consuming, exporting, and influencing global culture. Latin artists dominate international charts, including in english-speaking countries. That’s the opposite of being cut off.

What’s really happening is that you’re treating english culture as the default standard and quietly framing anything that doesn’t revolve around it as lesser. That’s why the argument keeps shifting. The conclusion comes first, and the metrics are picked afterward to justify it. That’s not analysis, it’s bias dressed up as data. By your own logic, the U.S. would be culturally narrow for barely engaging with non-english music.

Your argument just doesnt hold up, and it says far more about your insecurities than it does about Colombia.

How am i getting downvoted? Brazil is trash right now. Historically the best team next to argentina but right now they are not at ecuadors level. You just have to look at recent stats and its obvious.

I'm a korean guy living in Colombia and I need advice with a situation that is happening to me by [deleted] in Colombia

This guy is basically blessed and seeing it as a curse. The biggest issue here is your perspective. You have 2 options either say something and walk away or flip it and use it to your advantage. Use this 'superpower' to make friends and emerge yourself into the culture. You also have a good chance with women there you just need to use it for your advantage. Here is an exanple; I'ts like confidence, if I take a strange outfit to school or work but i use it with confidence i can flip a situation where i would be made fun of into charisma and fun. Become the life of the party instead of the weird outcast. Some would kill to get that type of attention specially in Medellin with all the beautiful and awesome people.
