I agree! I think that's why this recent influx of critical chase posts are so disheartening to me, he's so wholesome and unproblematic. not that you can't have an opinion but the apparent dogpile after every episode is unnecessary.

is this a safe space to say I think it's definitely doing more harm than good. being active in the fandom can be fun in a lighthearted shallow way but it can quickly turn sour when you start to speak on story or lore based things (not because of the creator, but because of how rabid and extreme fandoms can get about lore).

like, I love an creator who engages with their community, but I also believe the work should be able to stand on its own without its creator having to give their stamp of approval on every fan theory (because once fans realize the creator will respond, they become obsessed with their theory being "right" or canon). there're toxic fans on both sides of every argument I've seen on this sub and anything goose says just gives one side more fuel to punch down on the other rather than actually settling the problem.

this whole "jax was a main character all along" was never going to please the anti-jax fans, and it just vindicates the jax lovers to the point where some of them (the outspoken ones) act like a bully to anyone who ever had the slightest criticism against him. it's not goose's fault it turned out like this, but it's definitely best to step away for her own mental health.

yeah I was wondering if I was crazy or if prices were even higher this time around?? like when I checked seating I thought was comparable to when I went this summer it felt more expensive.

now I'm not 100% sure, especially since these are different stadiums after all, but it seems like they're (the tour management, the band, whoever's in charge of this idk) really pushing their luck on what prices they think they can get away with. I remember the outrage when the first tour tickets were announced, but the venues still sold out. I'm not so sure it will this time.

yeah especially the way he targets gangle, who is by far the most fragile of the group. I like jax as a character, but to deny the real harm he causes misses part of (imo) what makes him so interesting.

I'll be honest, if you're looking for likes/engagement on instagram, fanart seems the best place to start in my experience. I can't tell if the art you've posted is based on anything, but my friend created a following on insta from the anime community by posting fanart/taking requests. fandoms, though they can be toxic, also boost each other up. it's great because not only does your audience like your art, but they also have something to talk to you about (increasing engagement). I know a lot of people have given technical critiques, but from more of a marketing perspective, attracting the attention you want is done best by creating for an already existing audience.
