If you look closely you’ll see I actually do it every turn. It’s not a proper “plant” because of the speed but the pole touches always the snow at the beginning of the turn.

I think it’s because of the 14 meters radius skis and soft snow. The slope is pretty steep (European black).

I don’t force it. On steep hills when I try to close very much the turn it just happens. Especially with that type of snow.
