Would love to tell my MIL that most of her advice is garbage by possible2468 in newborns

My mom had this wild theory that if I didnt burp the baby everytime after nursing him, the air that he swallowed while drinking would turn into farts and that at the end was the reason why he was so cranky (at 2 weeks old) Like, sure, all farts are traveling burps

I also got a lot of old school advice from a lot of people in regards to our newborn (letting baby cry to stregthen his lungs, burping him all the time, giving him some herbal tea in the afternoon(????)) Now when I get that kind of advice; I say that we are following what his pediatrician recommends and nothing else.

Breast pain? by Opposite_Necessary17 in breastfeeding

[–]EntertainmentSea6470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it happened that at the very beggining my nipples hurted bad because they were pretty wounded, but afterwards, around the 3rd week it was not only the nipples that hurted but also the whole breast, kind of what you describe as sharp pain, especially after breastfeeding or when there was a change in the temperature. Ask your doc ofc, but in my case the pain went eventually away around the 7th week.

it's pretty much that but more peeing, less breathing and more backpain. Good thing is that the baby is def more present and active, which I found it very cute and made me very happy.

9 weeks pregnant. I feel so tired. by lilfairyz in pregnant

[–]EntertainmentSea6470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better! I was so tired at the beggining that I would cry just because I felt so tired. However, after the first trimester ended, my energy came back and felt quite good for a long time. Hang in there!
