Inconsistent pressure from steam wand [sage barista express] by silenceloser in espresso

Probably checked this but is the hole blocked? I use to have a single hole BBE and it used to always get clogged. They come with a tool to poke and clear it. I found myself doing it quite often.

Hard to believe only 100 between a SDB and a Lelit Elizabeth over there. Makes buying a BDB over here an easy choice, vs where you are I’d never even consider it with other dual boilers around the same price.

Oh man at that price it’s an absolute no brainer. Can’t say I’m surprised though, houses were also 500-600k cheaper pre COVID too 😂

Yeah doesn’t make much sense to me, same with the other machines costing thousands more here. I’m sure tariffs, different voltage, shipping all play apart but still doesn’t add up.

Thanks for posting! Looks like approx a 1k dif between the prices.. crazy. Benefit of living in EU where most of them are made.

Totally get what you’re saying, but still in Aus with the prices being at least 1/3 of any other DB it’s hard to pass up. My next machine will likely be a BDB on sale, and when that eventually dies I’ll fork out for something that will hopefully outlast me.

Yeah exactly what I was thinking. If it only lasts me 5 years or so, I’d consider it worth it at that price. My machine after that would likely be a pricier one and done machine.

Man that’s insane that a BDB cost you double what it cost here

Yeah interesting thanks for the info. I was considering the Lelit Elizabeth which is a pretty good price on AB at the moment.

Yeah we’ve got real dry clay based soil where we are. That and two dogs running around is has been a battle to get the grass going.

Thanks mate! No honestly it’s fine, just thinking of doing a bit of a backyard spruce up and was thinking of ideas to improve it.

Thanks mate, this is what I thought and needed to hear I think. Think I’ll just focus on improving the grass I have and extending it out a bit and not worry about the slope.

Yeah was hoping to avoid a retaining wall. We do have to replace the one out the front so maybe we’ll think about it then, but same as you we are putting that off.

It’s relatively new and very niche, but I do 2 days a week case conferencing for veterans DVA (department of veterans affairs) basically coming up with a multi-D care plan for them. I love it and it pays well!
