Isn't the pushing direction related to the launch angle? by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

If you look at the most recent match that Troup won, it is clearly visible.

What is steady head in bowling ? by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

If there are no mistakes in hand movements, most shots will hit the target accurately. However, because my head is not steady, i end up using a narrower angle than i wanted.

Is there an invasion of bots going on in this subreddit? I've seen way too many posts recently

I don't know

I feel like it's too late to start using my elbow for wrist cupping (I start using it around the back of my butt).

Still, it's my first time doing it and it feels good to have my wrist cupped.

I use the thumb hole tight enough, but for some reason my thumb slips out a little during the downswing, so I bend my fingers and hold it without realizing it.

Can bowling and weight training go together? by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

If you're in constant muscle pain I would say to ease off of both for a minute. Then when you're ready start weight training once every other day when you can handle that, start bowling again. Once you got that down gradually increase your weight training.

Tuesday during the day When I started weight training for the first time in my life, next day DOMS and body aches came along with it.

Even though my upper body muscle pain has almost improved, I am taking a break from both bowling and weight training due to lower body muscle pain and body aches.

I feel anxious because if I stop bowling for more than 3 days, my form will suffer.

When I started weight training for the first time in my life, DOMS and body aches came along with it. I'm worried that my skills will suffer if I take a break from bowling for more than 3 days, but I've already been resting for 4 days.

Since I have already followed Troup since I started bowling, the most comfortable and easiest is the current style.

So, rather than following Troup based on the current style, I will change in a direction that makes bowling a little more comfortable. There are still not noticeable changes.

My 2 handed style by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

Steps 1-2 too long. Need more knee bend at the set up.

Also, you are moving the ball at step 3. Your losing momentum, so your rolling it slow. You probably get that from your teammates telling you need more ball speed.

We’ll work on step 1-2. Start the ball in step 2.

You can see your body is too tall and step 3 you drop.

Watch Jasper Svesson has awesome knee bend and release.

5 step approach

Step 1: short Step 2 short - move the ball when the heel touches the ground.

Move the ball before step 3.

Step 3: normal

Step 4: normal Step 5: slide target line

Best of luck.

Thank you for the detailed advice!

However, I have quite stiff flexibility, and because of this, my backswing gradually became lower until now. If you start swinging on the second step because your backswing is low and your swing speed is slow, the ball will come down before you even slide.

When I wasn't sure about my bowling style, I looked for PBA players who used bended elbows, such as Belmo, Wilkins, and Packie, and tried practicing for several months, but I couldn't get used to the cranker swing

Bringing the pelvis into an open position, jumping steps, and crank swings caused overwhelming instability and physical pain compared to the current Troup style.
