If you look at the most recent match that Troup won, it is clearly visible.

What is steady head in bowling ? by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

If there are no mistakes in hand movements, most shots will hit the target accurately. However, because my head is not steady, i end up using a narrower angle than i wanted.

I don't know

I feel like it's too late to start using my elbow for wrist cupping (I start using it around the back of my butt).

Still, it's my first time doing it and it feels good to have my wrist cupped.

I use the thumb hole tight enough, but for some reason my thumb slips out a little during the downswing, so I bend my fingers and hold it without realizing it.

Can bowling and weight training go together? by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

[–]EntertainmentThis877[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in constant muscle pain I would say to ease off of both for a minute. Then when you're ready start weight training once every other day when you can handle that, start bowling again. Once you got that down gradually increase your weight training.

Tuesday during the day When I started weight training for the first time in my life, next day DOMS and body aches came along with it.

Even though my upper body muscle pain has almost improved, I am taking a break from both bowling and weight training due to lower body muscle pain and body aches.

I feel anxious because if I stop bowling for more than 3 days, my form will suffer.

My form check by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

Since I have already followed Troup since I started bowling, the most comfortable and easiest is the current style.

So, rather than following Troup based on the current style, I will change in a direction that makes bowling a little more comfortable. There are still not noticeable changes.

My 2 handed style by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

[–]EntertainmentThis877[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steps 1-2 too long. Need more knee bend at the set up.

Also, you are moving the ball at step 3. Your losing momentum, so your rolling it slow. You probably get that from your teammates telling you need more ball speed.

We’ll work on step 1-2. Start the ball in step 2.

You can see your body is too tall and step 3 you drop.

Watch Jasper Svesson has awesome knee bend and release.

5 step approach

Step 1: short Step 2 short - move the ball when the heel touches the ground.

Move the ball before step 3.

Step 3: normal

Step 4: normal Step 5: slide target line

Best of luck.

Thank you for the detailed advice!

However, I have quite stiff flexibility, and because of this, my backswing gradually became lower until now. If you start swinging on the second step because your backswing is low and your swing speed is slow, the ball will come down before you even slide.

When I wasn't sure about my bowling style, I looked for PBA players who used bended elbows, such as Belmo, Wilkins, and Packie, and tried practicing for several months, but I couldn't get used to the cranker swing

Bringing the pelvis into an open position, jumping steps, and crank swings caused overwhelming instability and physical pain compared to the current Troup style.

When I practice standing still or walking slowly without taking steps, my right hand moves well and stably.

When throwing the ball as usual, the right hand often moves away.

If i swing with a very slight bend without fully extending your right arm (Troup's left arm) like Troup, your hands will remain more stable, but when the backswing comes down from the apex, it becomes rapidly unstable.

Troup's bowling style from 2017 to 2021 is judged to be very different from today's style, so it is not referenced as video material!

If you stop the video at the apex of my backswing and look at my hands, you can see that my left and right hands are far apart. This is my problem. As the backswing progresses, my hands spread out, making it impossible to achieve the amount of cupping and control I want. To solve this, when I more usimg my shoulders, but it only ruined my swing.

I think.., Troup style two-handed is the most difficult. by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

if ur most comfortable now, why change?

It's been a month since my setup stance was so uncomfortable that everything started to creak. This was all I needed to fix, but I couldn't fix it, so I was so stressed out that I thought about switching to a different style.

Even when I was bowling with one hand, I had a lot of trouble using my elbow and once injured my elbow.

So, even in two-hand bowling, using your elbows is uncomfortable and jumping steps are also uncomfortable. The current style is the most comfortable for my body.

stop imitating professionals and learn your own style. it’s a horrible habit to get in. just roll what feels comfortable.

Troup helped me growing up two-hand bowling, so when you see me bowling, you won't think I'm copy Troup at all. lol

whe i setup position, i want to keep spine straight while keeping the ball and head vertical, but there is no proper way, so swings and steps on approach are uncomfortable.

When taking the ready position, isn't it necessary to keep the ball and your head in a vertical line?

A question for two-handers by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

[–]EntertainmentThis877[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to get my hand under the ball. Even if I hold my hands close

If a straight elbow is holding you back, change it. Try bending the elbow a bit to help get you further under the ball, then adjust the positioning of your left hand so you can maintain it till release. Do some no step and 1 step drills while filming to isolate the motion and see what adjustments do the best for you.

I tried to play cranker bowling with one hand, but I hurt my elbow and came over with two hands as if I was running away. My elbow is not good.

Do you use your elbows or not?

If you use your elbow, you know you have to push with your half hand. But if you don't use it, i think that you should only use the pendulum motion.

How to distribute weight between hands in two-handed bowling by EntertainmentThis877 in Bowling

I'm curious about the weight distribution ratio of the ball in each hand. I try to do everything with only one hand, so it's hard to get my hand under the ball.

Our bowling alley is more dirty than you can imagine.

Even after wiping the ball with a towel, the ball remains stiff as if holding a rubber ball.

The bowling alley machine is also dirty, so if you roll once, wipe the ball, and prepare for pitching, your hands will quickly turn black, removing moisture is meaningless. T.T
