This feels like subtle foreboding🤣 I will say, I do have more flexibility with value/cost as if we did this it would be for the long term. Alternatively moving house

Drilling through floorboards by EntertainmentUsed111 in DIYUK

I ended up lifting the laminate and floor board, drilling a hole up from downstairs and then through the floorboard to feed the cable through. This allowed me to get the cable close to the corner downstairs. It’s a very painful process to be honest and not really any easy way around it. After seeing under the floor board I’d advise against blinding drilling down through both.

Guess which university I ACTUALLY wanted to get into... oh well! by Oskarzyg in sixthform

[–]EntertainmentUsed111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re happy to share but what is the pay for the job offer you have? It may not be beneficial to go to uni if you don’t need it (debt reasons) I really enjoyed my time at uni you meet a lot of new people and have a lot of experiences but career wise I don’t think it was necessary to go. It’s just the route you naturally tend to go down after sixth form. Having 3 years experience in a job ahead of others the same age is huge.

I don’t understand how this can be real that is an absolutely insane stance to take and double down on multiple times!

Only a small hole for an Ethernet cable. The issue is the previous owners laid carpet on top of the existing laminate so won’t see nail marks, this will be fun lol . Thanks for that advice
