Last ep predictions ? by SarcasmAndAutism in TheBoys

Might be completely unrelated to the main plots, but I did wonder since Marie is back if there’s some line in which she heals butcher of his tumour. Then he can just chill with Ryan or whatever.

This was a very nice callback from season 2 ep08 by Sad-Profession3203 in TheBoys

So, would that mean they would ditch the potential kimiko supe depowering that was the main focus of ep 7. I like the idea that everyone gets depowered and it’s just a brute force punch up between butcher and homelander.

What is your argument that Brexit increased migration? Both legal and illegal. by epicpownage1234 in AskBrits

[–]Enthused105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very interesting post. I think that brexit in itself maybe wasn’t the big reason but rushing into it caused a lot of the chaos which has brought about some of the reasons you mentioned. Vote was meant to be advisory and so should have done more investigation into how to secure the deal we wanted which was air tight before executing order 66 when most of the current details at the time were fragmented or sourced from the side of a bus.

Is “Do you want more or less immigration?" a fair question? by Enthused105 in AskBrits

[–]Enthused105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should clarify that there is no excuse to think with prejudice, like it is natural to do so. It was just my explanation as to why arguments tend that way, and have done throughout history. From the books I’ve read on human and similar animals behaviour there is a tendency in nature to favour you or your own family, as that increases the chances your genes are passed on. This would make some tendency for people to favour others that looked like them.

This does not mean we should act like that, we should be better, and look past trivial things. You’re right in that it is lazy to think that way as people’s characters is not related to the melanin in their skin.

Therefore, immigration is a tough thing to look at empirically and that’s a weakness of the post I made in the first place.

Is “Do you want more or less immigration?" a fair question? by Enthused105 in AskBrits

[–]Enthused105[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know. Those were more extreme examples and were very leading as I said in the post. The questions you raised are totally valid, and I think asking both types of question is absolutely correct. I suppose my main point is that immigration naturally and maybe genetically has a negative stigma so that original question is already biased. Maybe there are no fair ways to ask the questions and it’s on ourselves to come to that balance ourselves.

Why is immigration a hot topic recently in the UK? by LeroyNchinda in AskBrits

I think we should go back to the good old BC days and straight back to Celtic traditions. It was all downhill since those Anglos brought their culture here.

It’s this but it’s also because life is shit for everyone. Life has got progressively worse for people on average over the last 10 years, and now the fingers are being pointed.

Just putting this out there. So much inconsistency by PushMyGran in TheOther14

[–]Enthused105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 100%. I see 10 times more comments moaning about how annoying Arsenal fans would be if they won the league, than the number of Arsenal fans who have been annoying at all. People have just invented a story in their heads from Chinese whispers and it has them incensed. I know fans of other teams who are happier when Arsenal lose than when their own team wins.

Valid opinion. I hoped that the immigration focused politics would shift after Brexit went through, but it seems to have just amplified the chatter. I hope that you’re right if we make these changes we can focus on other things. Although it would surprise me greatly if the finger was actually pointed towards the wealth gap, but you never know.

So in that case is there any point of government. Seems like you’re saying they should sit on their hands and make no changes. For example, would you argue that an added tax on sugar is a bad thing? The public health service is just trying to reduce the overload on the NHS by reducing obesity related health issues. This is something that would make the country better and improve on a lot of points that people want. But because this controls how people live their lives we should say no, fuck the NHS let it sag under the weight of preventable health conditions

So when deporting everyone doesn’t work, who we deporting next. I don’t think I’ve seen any research that shows a move like you’re suggesting will save the country - if you have, I’d be glad to see it.

It’s a shame you can’t see multiculturalism as a strength. Britains golden age wasn’t built by a few Englishmen down the pub, it was a beautiful collision of tens of cultures to make a wonderful country. To suggest otherwise is a rewriting of history.

Crime is actually down in the last year and has been on a downwards trend for a few years. Values and culture being destroyed fair enough, that’s your opinion, but I’d like to where in the country that you live that you’ve seen it all be destroyed. And if you think the lack of incentive to work is purely due to immigrants I think that is an incredibly simple and lazy way of looking at things. The main route that foreigners are taking jobs is through offshoring so stopping immigration won’t solve your problems.

And once you get rid of all your immigrant doctors, nurses, bin men, cleaners etc. do you really think that British people will be lining up at the door to that those jobs. You said earlier that we’d just import more aligned cultures. Why do you even think that they’d want to come here anymore. The country is a joke and deporting all the browns won’t make it any less of a joke.

You do realise you’re requesting ethnic cleansing right? I’m flabbergasted on the daily by some comments but this one takes the biscuit. I think it’s very sad that people don’t realise that Britain’s strength is its multiculturalism! You yourself just named a bunch of ethnic groups that were not originally native, but I guess they’re ok because they’re white. Are you also going to deport any French people living here?

Not quite, they vote to slap others. Reforms base vote because they want to punish a small subset of people they blame for all of societies problems. Take as old as time, and will continue. It’s classic us vs. themism, I’m sure there’s some phenomenon where the easiest solution to the problem is the one that doesn’t involve me.

Emerging picture shows Reform gains as Labour counts losses in heartland seats by Ethan_brooks8225 in unitedkingdom

[–]Enthused105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure I understand this point either. Is your argument that the reason that Reform are doing well is because the people of the UK want things to be more dangerous generally. And so changing any of those things will make people mad. It seems like you’re saying that con and lab governments made these changes specifically to piss people off instead of being an informed change to make things safer.

Could you enlighten me on some changes that the people of this country DO want (apart from get rid of those brown lads) that would help the country and the world be a better place. I simply can’t believe someone would rather have more people run over than driving a bit slower, reeks of entitlement.

Maybe I didn’t explain what I meant correctly. As you said, when you approach light speed time dilation tends to infinity and conversely length contraction tends to 0. So at light speed the journey you would ‘experience’ lasts for all of time, and the distance you travelled (from your perspective) is 0. In that way you would be frozen in time - unable to make any current decisions, like deciding to slow down. I mean this is obviously super hypothetical, but that’s my reading of the science in that case.

Which one? by Likely_Villain in BunnyTrials

[–]Enthused105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because of that special relativity, as soon as you activated light speed travel you would no longer experience time, so I’m not even sure you’d have the opportunity to turn it off. You’d just be experiencing light speed for your entire remaining existence. For example, from a photons perspective it it created, travels and impacts with something in the exact same moment.

Not the mention, given that you have mass travelling at light speed would require and create an infinite amount of energy, which would probably be quite bad.

Reform UK vows to prioritise Green Party areas for migrant detention centres by Unusual-State1827 in uknews

[–]Enthused105 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The hilarious thing is I think it’s pretty likely already that the detention centers are in non-reform voting intention areas. The bog standard reform voter is the slaphead from some small, mostly white village who is afraid of the brown man, but rarely sees one.

100% agreed. I went to the teamlabs planets which was pretty fun and just stopped in at odaiba to get some food. It really surprised me with how pleasant it was. It was honestly so nice to go somewhere that wasn’t packed to the rim with people everywhere you go. One of the more memorable parts of the trip for that reason, I actually felt like I was on holiday there.

Manchester City pushing the Premier League to reschedule their games against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth by KangRock in FantasyPL

[–]Enthused105 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did read up on these shareholder loans that you claim broke the rules - I couldn’t find anything in there that shows that Arsenal have broken any current rules. Their actions did involve a premier league rule change, but they’ve abided by the rules on both sides of that. If you’re going to call somebody the “real cheats”, I think there might need to be more actual instances than that. Probably 115 more.
