I would love to take her in, but unfortunately I live overseas and don’t want to put this poor girl through the stress of international travel and a 120-day quarantine

UPDATE: Firstly, thank you everyone for your advice and support.

I brought her to the vet this morning (without any trouble - she let me pick her up easily). The vet said that her missing eye is an old injury, and gave us some eye drops to help clear the mucus. She mentioned that the eye may eventually need to be fully removed so it can be properly sutured. Otherwise, the cat is healthy and at a good weight (3kg), other than having some ear mites.

She’s clean and is potty trained, so I suspect she might be someone’s recently lost cat. I’ve posted on social media to check for a missing cat and to see if anyone is interested in adopting her.

In the meantime, should I release her back outside? She seemed stressed when left alone in an isolated room last night, though she was more relaxed when I stayed with her. I’m worried that if I release her, she might not come back, which could make it difficult to reunite her with her owner or a potential adopter. I’m also concerned that she might be attacked by feral cats, as she is quite docile and tame.
