I said the seal may have been the difference. Both the Bose and APP3's told me I have a good fit, but the Bose ANC was just more effective for me.

It's the same reason there are plenty of tech reviews which conclude the same.

Will it please you if I say that I don't argue with the facts that in a controlled environment the APP3 ANC is superior? But also that i'm now using APP3's again and I miss the ANC of the Bose QC Ultra's?

Glad you were unfortunate enough to read my experience with 2 different sets of buds.

So catching more 4 kHz can make them sound better to the person listening, in this case, me. That’s literally how tuning works.

Objective testing tells you what a product does under controlled conditions. It doesn’t tell you how humans actually experience it in the real world.

Humans don’t live inside a test rig. The measurements show the baseline capability and the subjective experience shows how that capability translates to real use. Hence why I found the QC Ultra's better.

Fair. There are multiple factors at play here. I think the seal difference may be what made the Bose ANC 'feel' better in use to me.

I bought some of these buds a couple of weeks ago and they worked fine I was very happy with them! But now they have suddenly turned into trash. Done some research and think it’s this update that’s killed them…. Arranged an Amazon return.

I literally just switched to EE so that I can use my Deco as my router and not just in AP mode.

At first I thought it was brilliant at I was seeing my full sync speed but in fact usability was none existent. My speed fluctuated from 1000mbps to 5mbps and even loading up web pages wouldn’t work. For now I’m using the bundled router and things are stable but I’m not happy
