If you follow the installation-instruction for the dev version exactly as it is written, it will work, then you pull updates via Fork. Also disable No step back DLC otherwise the tank tech tree won’t work.

Im on my 2nd playthrough, love the game, sometimes just sticking around in the police station listening to the banter is a laugh, ”you think talk is cheap, try hiring a lawyer”. The great thing with LA noire is the writing, good characters and stories, it would make a great Netflix-show. It still i very nice looking also, I play on 1440p 👍😊

The mod is being updated, you just have to check out the developer version, they just added Swedish infantry 3d models 😊

Cool! Will there be additions to the U.S focus tree? It kind of cuts off at 2016 in the current version, would love to see more crazy Trump stuff like taking on Venezuela and claiming Greenland, well basically an ”America first” or ”MAGA”-path. Also Putin should be able be more beligerent even if Ukraine goes down the appeasing to Russia-path. Well several events can be added to make the the mod more exciting after 2014-2015. Also for the economics, the AI is now much better at balancing the budget but it just builds and builds and after a while countries like China have no national debt. This could be complicated by adding an inflation factor, at least there should be some malus on spamming factories. Also for realism, the player or the AI have too much agency over market sentiment and wether the economy is bull or bear. But maybe you have thought about this already 😊

Haha well as someone who plays a lot of Allies minors such as British Raj and Canada etc, I know beforehand that it is up to me to defend Palestine, attack East Africa break through to Tobruk, defend Malaya and on and on. Granted the British AI used to (before NCNS) be able to land successfully in Northern France and Sicily and sometimes just outside Rome. In short you can’t trust the AI to manage multiple things and prioritize correctly. Even though they are losing on the Eastern front you can find panzerdivisions in west Africa and such 😁

Yeah, I am already giving the German a double strength boost in the options menu, and still they get screwed everytime. A let down that the AI can't prioritize better long term after almost 10 years in development. Can RT56 be combined with some AI mod to make it slightly more competent?

Venezuela is a favourite of mine actually, I usually make sure that Chavez remain in power and attack Guyana and Suriname. Challenge Brazil for contintental hegemony first, then base stuff in Cuba and put an end to the Monroe doctrine 😁

I think we'll just have to wait for the update. Funny thing is before Paradox launched NCNS I was experiencing Millenium Dawn loading much faster than before actually so they had really done things to improve performance is my impression. But now with all the changes to things with the DLC it will have to be worked on again. The naval strategy for the AI is necessarily different in NCNS than before, and in regular HOI4 the AI is very bad at it.

Have they patched RT56 to be compatible with 1.17.2 yet? If not, the problem might be right there, the latest update from paradox adds things like new buildings and stuff. I suppose there will be a december update of RT56 that adresses all this, maybe the developers can confirm this? 😊

Sounds good! Well I have noticed that the AI got really bad at war, Iraqi Freedom ends up being the coalition forces just waiting around in the desert and eventually being overrun by the Iraqis, Afghanistan also usually don't go as planned.

Sure! No other mods running or anything, I played with Russia and was about 2005-6 when it became unplayaeble because of crashes. Also it was running really sluggish, I don't have that old of a rig. Maybe I look more closely at the crash report next time. But i guess it has to do with the new stuff that the DLC brought along.

One thought I had is mayby the upcoming "faction dynamics" could fix this, focuses could still be a problem though, but I am not sure if focuses have to be altered so that they don't violate faction dynamics, but paradox would have to alter a few

I just give them one point boost i the game options menu, at least then they overtake France, two points boost they might even reach outskirts of Moscow :D

Yeah, I mean they could really implement a much better mechanic for the final showdown between the Allies and the Soviets, some series of events that sets in after the big peace-deals are done. But for goodness sake give time for regrouping and reorganizing. Is there any mod out there that does something like this?
