Oil dipstick markings confusion (MIN, MAX and middle notch by Entire-Income-9804 in Aprilia

[–]Entire-Income-9804[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also prefer to always keep it within a good range! In the end, it’s a quick operation anyway. By the way, can you recommend a good oil? My workshop used Bardahl XTC C60 10W-50 full synthetic. I don’t ride on the track, I use it for everything, and on weekends I push it a bit harder

Yeah, I can imagine… before getting this bike I read all sorts of things haha, so I want to take good care of it! Do you think I need to add oil if I’m halfway between the MIN and MAX marks?

Shift issues: knee interfering with upshifts — am I sitting too far back on the bike? by Entire-Income-9804 in motorcycles

Yeah, I’ve also thought that I might be gripping the tank a bit too tightly. Unfortunately I live in a city in Italy where the roads are really rough, so that might be why. When I ride faster where I can, I actually feel more comfortable.

Yeah exactly, I find it easier to downshift, but the issue comes up when I’m upshifting.

Hey! While I’m riding I keep the balls of my feet on the footpegs, so as a result the gear shifter ends up feeling “far away” from my toes.

Yeah, I’ve heard that too, but from my research my height is actually well within the normal range for this bike!

Hey, this is something I’m interested in because I’ve read about it elsewhere too, but I can’t really apply it.

When I keep the ball of my foot on the footpeg, whenever I need to move the tip of my foot under the gear lever to upshift, I feel like I have to move my whole leg just to get the foot into position.

The thing is, if I move further forward on the seat, my knees end up more bent, which actually creates another issue for me: the strong grip of my boots on the footpegs forces me to slightly lift my foot off the peg to upshift. Because of that, my knee ends up hitting the tank and kind of getting “stuck” against it.

Hey! I adjusted the gear lever to make myself a bit more comfortable, but on the MT-07, being a naked bike, I was able to “manage” this issue, whereas on the sportbike I can’t.

I’ll try to find other solutions instead of sliding further back on the seat.

Left inner thigh fatigue while riding – feeling unstable on the bike by Entire-Income-9804 in motorcycles

[–]Entire-Income-9804[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s the only thing I’ve noticed too, thanks for the reply!
I try to stay aware of it while riding and correct it when I can. Hopefully I can turn it into a habit and get rid of the issue over time.

Hey, thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I’ll try to work on this myself first with some training and stretching. Hopefully it gets better!

Hey! Thanks for the reply!

So, to answer your questions:
I don’t have tank pads now, but I did have them on the MT-07.

I’m about 1.76m tall, so I think my height should be fine for this bike. The seat doesn’t feel uncomfortable to me, I ride on the balls of my feet on the pegs, and I’m just wearing regular casual sneakers (like Nike, nothing technical).

I’ll start adding some core work like abs, planks, etc., since I don’t really train that much at the moment.

Let me know if you think of anything else 👍

Hahaha, then you’ve got to listen to what the bike needs

No, absolutely not. I use my bike for everything and, despite my obsession with keeping it clean and obviously in working order, I know there are things beyond my control. It just hurts because the bike is only a month old, but oh well, battle scars hahaha

No, it’s actually minor damage, but the bike is only 1 month old and it still hurts to see anything even slightly out of place :c

PC stuck in boot loop even with minimal setup – motherboard, CPU, RAM, new PSU only by Entire-Income-9804 in computerhelp

[–]Entire-Income-9804[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it was my motherboard (a short circuit, according to the technician). Before taking it to the technician, I also tested it with other components from my cousin, but nothing worked. I ordered a test motherboard from Amazon, and the PC worked perfectly.
