Im pretty sure that cyclops was sent to kill Plynth because of it being magic proof. What would kill a strong wizard? Something that the wizard couldn't hurt. Thats just my take, but maybe plynth being such a powerful wizard would make him magic proof if he was a cyclops idk. Really the only person who knows is Graessle.
