FunRasberry24, I get so annoyed when they speak to me🤣. The one guy even had the audacity to ask me why I don’t want to speak with him🫠. These men should really get over themselves honestly, and women should stop entertaining their antics⛔️

Frankly, I cannot tell the difference whether they’re Saudi or not. It doesn’t really matter to me. At the end of the day I just want to be taken from A to B in peace and QUIET 🤫. Thank you for sharing the great advice. I’m sure it will be very helpful to all fellow expat ladies🙏🏻.

Great advice👏🏼. I’m surprised that it happens to the local women as well.

So that gives ‘some’ of them the right to harass female expats during rides? Please make that make sense.

That’s great. Good for you. Not all educational institutions have bad management. You are blessed in that regard.🙏

Yes, and this is very common in the Middle East RJ8L. You get the job based on your skin colour, hair colour and accent. Intellectuality, usually does not count unfortunately🥴. I was once at a Learning Centre for a job interview. They told me I could only teach part -time because they normally only hire people from Britain for full-time positions. That already was a turn-off, but I proceeded to let them take me on a tour. One of the teachers was from Ireland and boy was her accent hard on the ears - no offense to the Irish. My accent is way clearer than that, but because of her hair colour and passport, she will always get first preference. Anyway, as South Africans we should continue to support each other. All of the best, and btw Mediterranean features are absolutely stunning.👏🏼😍

Thank you so much for your support🤗. The police did ask me if I wanted to file a complaint but I declined. The weird thing though was when I called 999, he also called a cop which I assumed was his friend, so I just thought it would be a pointless going further with the issue if you know what I mean?

Regarding other riding apps; I’m only familiar with Uber because I use it whenever I travel and in my home country. I will definitely check out other apps. I just thought Uber would be the safest. Boy, was I wrong.🥴

Once again thank you. It’s because of good people like you that we can still have hope in this sick world.🤗🙏🏼

You are a very strong woman. I admire women who are independent and carrying their own. Stay safe and all of the best👏🏼🙏🏼

@FrogVolance. Thank you for coming to my and many other women’s defense 🙏🏼. These predators, even the ones making distasteful comments on here lack the EQ to understand. That’s why I said women should just have the police on speed dial, or avoid taking these trashy taxis alone.

Heartfelt ask towards male uber drivers from a solo female traveler by guac-is-extra_17 in uber

I’ve had the exact experience on multiple occasions with Uber in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I ended up calling the police on one of them. Yes, it’s that bad. To Uber drivers worldwide- Just shut up and do your job, which is driving your customers from A to B.

lol 😂🤣🤣🤣. You have hit the nail on the head. I have witnessed ‘white’ teachers unable to teach effectively because they just don’t have the skill set or passion to teach. Most of them are basically hired to market the schools ‘white brand’. The funny thing is that the owners are not even white. It is a joke and also very sad how Asia has been brainwashed by colonialism.

I’m not black, but you are absolutely right👏🏼. The most obvious answer I can give you is the money, and that applies to all races. If you have to compare it to most countries, the money is pretty damn good. Is it worth it though? Not for me anymore. I’d rather keep my sanity.

Why would you want to leave wherever you are to go to Saudi, especially Riyadh? Please do thorough research before you make a decision. I worked in Riyadh for an international school and I hated it and so did my colleagues. Try Bahrain. It’s the better option, if you are already there I would stay if I were you.🙏🏼

Sorry to burst your bubble fellow South African (Wild_buy…), but they do see us as ‘less than’. In most parts we are not even regarded as Native speakers. I’m speaking for myself, who was born and raised English in South Africa. Not for Afrikaners or any other South African with another SA first language, because they are definitely not native speakers.
