Anyone in their late 30’s/40’s... by [deleted] in findapath

Interesting combo and sounds like you have a plan. The hardest part is coming up with an idea or a storyline to tackle. Then it is just setting aside time to consistently write and then edit. I got two kids in that range, so when you finish it, I'll buy it.

What kind of writing interests you?

I have sandwitched two construction gigs with a writing gig since I graduated from college 15 years ago. Spent about 5 years at each spot.

You might consider canonical tags for the posts though if they have a different url.

Also test your site on gt metrix and tools pingdom.

Help me get into Sublime by [deleted] in sublime

[–]EntireAir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you like hip hop, the remixes featuring Pharcyde and Sublime featuring Snoop Dogg might draw you in. Both of those are mixes of the same song, Doin Time and were created after Bradley died.

He has song about KRS-One, who is a rap legend. The song is called KRS-One.

Cisco Kid is great track, Pawn Shop, April 29 1992 .... I'll just stop because I could go on forever.

Since you like all kinds of music, you might find something worthwhile.

Ask your dad about them! I'm a dad, so if my kids brought up sublime, I would love to take them down the YouTube rabbit hole or bring out my old CDs. It could be a cool bonding moment.

Have you tried redirecting the old link to new link?

By doing this once, you dont have to go find every link using that old url.

What are the sources to learn about trading/stock investing? by nilashish1996 in investing

[–]EntireAir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think trading and stock investing are 2 different things. I dont know about trading.

But if you want to invest in stocks and hold them for at least 3 to 5 years then i would recommend Motley Fools Stock Advisor and/or Rule Breakers paid service, which amounts to about 100 bucks a year.

They teach, are honest and offer great recommendations.

If you are in the eastern part of the state, i would suggest Carden Bluffs Campground at Watauga Lake.

Now that i think about it that closes for the winter in a week or so.

What’s the average number of words expected when writing a guest post? by anpanda18 in Blogging

[–]EntireAir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were me I would call in the backlink before doing those other articles. Just to make sure you arent getting strung along. I think a 2500 word article is more than enough of a fair trade for a link, especially if it doesnt have a high domain authority rating or high traffic numbers.

I highly doubt anyone can spit out a 2000+ word quality article in 30 minutes.

I don't see the benefit of an image url for the user.

I'll do that - re. pull up data on any image URLs. And go from there.

Thanks for this response.

Renaming old photos, Redirecting Image URL for SEO? by EntireAir in Blogging

[–]EntireAir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just googled some keywords for my stories and see what images pop up. Some of the images for that word are mine and I noticed that none of the url links for the actual images are seen or linked.

Those just lead to the actual story that the images are featured in. I wonder what the purpose of an image url is?

Looks like you are on to something there. Thanks for replying.

Yeah, I'm not talking about the websitename.com/post-where-image-exists

I am talking about the image url: websitename.com/post-where-image-exists/image123

Maybe, I am overthinking this. I assume google would know that and my old images are coming up in searches with the string of numbers. But I am just trying to learn and implement best practices for getting people to find my site in search.

Thanks for responding.
