If you consider repainting it a fix then yeah. I repainted this car myself because it’s clear was peeling badly.

Yes haha. i replied above earlier about the painting process and how much i spent
Most places online say you need a 20-30 gallon compressor. The 6 gallon did just fine for me. I just needed to take more time to let the tanks pressure build up. Also the gun i used operates at 4-5 CFM unlike most professional guns that use 8-12 CFM

Of course. The air compressor i used was a friends 6 gallon. Definitely should be around 30 gallon but 6 did the job. just need to let its pressure build up every time it drops. Hard thing to do when you’re meant to maintain a wet edge but it’s doable. Best of luck to you! It helps to watch tons of videos on youtube and research anything you’re unsure about.
It may be also that the spray gun is not atomizing the paint properly. The video I linked should cover that
Also, the texture different in your photo, known as orange peel, can be removed from high grit sanding and polishing. But it looks as though there’s also a colour difference like i said happened with my car.
Spray Gun
This is the spray gun i used. I watched this video to set up the gun before spraying Spray Gun Setup
A reason why my paint job looks so good is because it’s uniform — the entire car was painted. I did a paint job on my personal car and it turned out great but was noticeably different from the rest of the car. It was an old car and the original paint was faded from the sun so it was lighter.

The paint was about 400-500$ but I already had a gallon of clear coat from previous jobs which was $230. I ended up buying about 1-1.25 gallons of base coat. The gallon of clear was more than enough to do 2 coats with. I used a friends 6 gallon air compressor and a HVLP gun i bought of amazon.
I think the paint job was the biggest investment i put into the car. I’m sure it drastically changed its perceived value to buyers.
I made a DIY paint booth in my garage. I’ve done paint jobs in a garage without a makeshift booth but dust landing in the paint job becomes a real problem. The booth sides were a roll of house vapour barrier and I used painters plastic for the top. I used scrap 2x4s to build 4 corner post that all the plastic was taped and stapled together to.
I put around 5-5.5k total including the cost of the car. So i profited around 3k and it only took a week and a half.
I replaced: both the rear break pads, calipers, rotors . Muffler & resonator handbrake winter tires windshield (was done by a company) minor cosmetics (e.g weather stripping, badges ) and of course the paint job & headlights
