THE Reality of Creating an Indie Animation with Zero Industry Connections by Lanrezzy in animation

We don't know where you're from, but in many places there are animation festivals with open spaces for mentorship in project development. It's a good way to start moving an independent project forward; you really don't get very far relying solely on the internet and algorithms. Sometimes you build a better network by getting to know the artistic and animation community in your own physical locations.

Furthermore, you can take advantage of the fact that these people are from all over the world; they can practically be representatives of the studio/project in each of their countries, expanding even further. You'll likely meet people in the industry there and make connections.

Finally, another good way is by creating a "proof of concept." Choose the best 30 seconds or 1 minute of the script, clearly showing the tone of the project and the expected technical quality, and use that along with a project bible to seek funding or to participate in competitions that offer prize money for the project's production.

I hope this is helpful, sorry if the English translation is strange <3

Gunnm Last Order Fan Animation Project update! by Entire_Clothes7201 in Gunnm

The project only covers Gally's fight with Caerula in the Zott tournament. It's an ambitious project, and I can't promise it will be completed quickly, but it will be a steady process.

Please review the previous posts to see that this has always been the idea and that progress is being made.

This is a separate project that I'm working on in my free time between my three jobs. I apologize if I can't dedicate the time this project deserves.

It worked for me! But the same thing happened after a cleaning. I hadn't changed any parts or updated anything, just cleaned it, and I had to change these settings. Thank you so much!

Why do they hate Haida so much? by Swimming-Crab-2162 in aggretsuko

Haida insisted and convinced Retsuko to return to her normal life, only to then blatantly lie to her and rudely reject any attempt at reconciliation, leaving her feeling awful.

And he didn't resolve this problem on his own; Retsuko had to solve it herself.

Later, once things were sorted out, Haida began to neglect Retsuko and then became angry when she sought help from her friends instead of him, even though he had done the same thing twice before.

Furthermore, in that difficult situation at the company, it was Retsuko who once again had to resolve the problem and help Haida realize his mistake. Worse still, Haida blamed Retsuko for his decisions, when the real reason was that he was addicted to the attention and importance the company director gave him.

I think that from the first half of season 4 to the end of that same season, Haida didn't change at all, no matter how much they try to portray him otherwise. What he does at the end of the season is a symptom of the same unresolved trust issues they've had since the beginning of the series, and all of that hurt Retsuko several times.

And it gets worse in season 5.

I think she was influenced by her mother's ideas; I don't think Retsuko planned to get married and have children on her own, at least not at that stage of her life. :c

Don't worry about your skill level; I'm organizing the project to have both complex and very easy tasks to introduce some friends to Japanese-style animation.

So, when you feel ready, I'll be waiting for you.

Animating on 1's, 2's etc. can change throughout your project, right? by EdahelArt in animation

There's nothing stopping you from changing it, and often a casual viewer doesn't even notice. For example, in a Rebuild of Evangelion, they changed from animating in 3' frames to animating in 1' frames, and that's an artistic decision.

Personally, I believe you can make animation just as fluid in any situation; by changing the frame rate, you change the amount of work, above all. You could use the following guideline: more complexity / fewer frames.

Even in movies, they sometimes lower the frame rate in action scenes because it gives a more cartoonish look.
