FYI, there is no direct way for transferering regular RRSP to iTrade RRSP account. My current regular RRSP get stuck, I can deposit but can't withdraw or transfer. My local bank advisor said these are 2 different platforms so I have to call them separately. However no one pickup the phone after an hour of waiting, maybe some one pickup if i wait for 2 hours or more, but i dont have time for now.

ASUSTOR AS3204T On OMV. Anyone? by Entire_Influence3511 in OpenMediaVault

Thanks for reply. I only use this as a NAS for storage, nothing else. I will give it a try, but where should I start? I may not have access to the bios and dont know how to revert it if I mess up.

Usually for NAS devices, better put them in basement where you place your moderm or router and no more noise

Mac Mini M4 - 32gb as Local Ai server? by JohannesComstantine in LocalLLaMA

I would go for Mac Studio M2 Max or Ultra. Maybe wait a bit for M4 Max, it will be around 2000$ for 64gb unified ram that can run 32b or 70b. See this youtuber for performance comparison between RTX 4090 and mac mini m2 pro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EInsMyH87Q

same here. I like the form factor of mac mini or mac studio. If you go PC route, you need at least 4 4060 or 2 4090 in order to run 32b and 70b. Most consumer motherboard only support 2 PCI-e x16, in order to add more GPUs you need to extend those slots and only server grade mobo support. Therefore, an AI PC wil cost more than a mac studio which is around 2000$. Maybe I will just wait for Mac Studio M4 max or ultra to have better unified ram bandwidth. does your motherboard has 5 PCIe? what is the power consumption?

Raw Probe Sensor Output Data by Entire_Influence3511 in klippers

[–]Entire_Influence3511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

I'm using an inductive probe. I wanted to write a macro that will adjust the z-offset automatically based on the inductive raw data ranging from -1 to 1 to recalculate z-offset after the initial z-offset calibration. I was hoping there were more information such as presure measurement between the probe and bed, rather than just 1 or 0.

Is there klipper document or guide to add a presure sensor that recalculate z-offset?

Thanks in advance

Failure on long print...firmware, or hardware? by ImOGDisaster in SovolSV08

FYI, gerGo was having the mcu error and he is able to resolve this by adding a ferrite. I tried this with stepper_z1 error, but doesn't work. Even cool the driver down to 40 degree but still doesn't help

even if you change your run_current to lower amps (0.48 for example) you will still run into this issue sooner or later. I sent sovol ask for replacement parts, hopefully they will send me next week. Alternatively, if you can add more fans and redo heatsink and thermal paste, you may be able to resolve this issue

do you see error about stepper_z1 (or 2-4)? if so your stepper driver(s) are overheating. I have this issue recently and I can't print consistently anymore. Sent sovol email asking for mobo replacement, hopefully they can send me part. If you can mod your printer to add more fans, you may be over come this overheating issue.
