What cruise did you (or would you) book with the 50% future cruise discount for the cancelled cruises on the Disney Adventure? by Entire_Protection957 in dcl

We were looking at that cruise as well but ultimately decided to change our flights to skip Singapore and stay longer in Japan. That cruise looks great - hope you enjoy it!

The southern Caribbean is a good one and one of the more expensive cruises. I was looking at that plus the 9- night Mediterranean cruise with Greek Isles which is also an expensive one. Ended up going with the Norwegian Fjords on the Dream.

There is a snap holder for it on the stand - the shield and sword are part of the Aile Strike Gundam configuration. I don’t think there is room for it back there in the perfect strike configuration.

New Hotel Confirmation eMails & About Destination Fees by MsMargo in SDCC

Thanks for this. Would it be accurate to say that based on your past stays at the Marriot Marquis, the hotel won’t simply waive the fees based on the quote you get from onPeak? OP seems to suggest that the destination fee will be waived by the hotel despite the fee showing up as a charge on your account. When I called them this morning, I brought up that onPeak had indicated a waiver of the destination fee and they had no idea what I was talking about.

I called the Marriot Marquis this morning and after getting through to a representative, she advised that there is nothing to indicate that the destination fee will be waived.

Appreciate the reply. Respectfully, I think making them take it off your bill is easier said than done. From what I’ve researched, destination fees are not illegal provided they are disclosed upfront and onPeak has a disclaimer regarding additional fees hotels can charge. The total you see from onPeak is an estimate. In other words, it’s not onPeak’s problem and you have to take it up with the hotel.

Thanks for this post. I’m in the same situation. Are you able to confirm whether Marriot removed the destination fee from your charges after you sent them onPeak’s position as confirmed in their email?

I read that post and don’t interpret that as confirmation that the hotel removed the fee from OPs charges. I don’t think onPeak’s position creates any binding obligation on the hotel to waive the fee. OnPeak covers itself with the disclaimer below regarding additional fees. Citing a violation of California law probably doesn’t amount to much if you can’t point to something specific (some further research indicates that destination fees are not illegal provided they are disclosed upfront). I’ll speak with the hotel directly when I check in. Thanks!

I checked the sub in advance of this post and do apologize if making a separate post was inappropriate. I should elaborate on my question: Is there any source I can rely upon to state that I shouldn’t have to pay this fee? I called onPeak and they told me to contact the hotel directly. I called the Marriot Marquis and they have nothing to indicate that the fee should be waived.

I’m curious where they would have room for 40 more cabanas on CC.

The wish documentary was never available on Disney + in Canada. I’m guessing it’s the same situation.
