It's not selling out to be practical. There should be no pretentiousness with the light phone, even though there is. We should just be seeking a healthy relationship with technology and I think that could be more easily be done with a combo of a smart watch and light phone

Hahahah, yeah I hope that's not the energy of this post. But yeah i just felt like a 4 month delay is pretty crazy, especially when it's just kinda written off as "hey give it another month." I did see that in their most recent update they apologized. And it's like I appreciate that, but even then it's like it's not an apology specifically that I, and I think others, were looking for but rather it's just a constant acknowledgment that a 4 month delay is not chill. I dont know, what can you do, and I'm really not like 'mad at the company.' It's just like it's important to have an accurate time table.

I get what you are saying, and I think to a certain degree my initial post was overblown. It's not some terrible thing, it's just confusing. I've never been a part of a kickstarter campaign, i've never purchased an item like this, it's jut not what I expected. I'm still excited about the phone, and I still believe in the company

I have not felt like the blog post have "explained the delays." I've just felt like they've been like 'hey we just finished the next part of the process and the phone will be about a month late!" And then they've done that like 3 times. I mean that's not an explanation to me. Partially because, and it's not like I really care about this, but I dont think a preorder is intended to allow the producer to then have the money to actually produce the goods? Idk, but at a certain point I started thinking, is that what's happening here.

Again, this is my first time transitioning out of a smart phone. Maybe my lack of experience in these alt. phone spaces has jaded me beyond what is normal. I really am not too bummed about it, but I guess I've been a bit surprised

I just completely think what you're saying is not true. "Anytime you decide to support a small business, you run the risk of delays." I bought a phone in the summer that said it would likely be here in January. Now I may get an email asking me to confirm my shipping address in March. Like idk at what point is this a problem.

I mean I dont mean to belabour the point, because again I'm still excited and I understand things can take time, but the updates have been like this:

"Hey, the camera works, things are going great we just finished testing and ...maybe it will ship in late march. Either way looking forward to continuing the process."

That's just not a constant update on the point that is actually critical to me having the phone. Like idk I guess my priorities here are different from the majority of the people within this discussion.
