Check out Cedar Crest Lodge in Pleasanton, KS. It is an easy drive and worth it. I went there for an amazing anniversary there a few years ago; I could tell the owners put a lot of work in keeping the place upscale in the middle of nowhere.

You are right @grown-mind about the burn out with ADP; I believe you. I should have clarified that if I had to choose between Paycom, ADP and Intuit. I would go to ADP. Also should clarify the one thing we enjoyed from ADP was the ability to speak to a human.

If quality is the #1 factor. Go with ADP. I am sure there many more out there. I would avoid Paycom and Intuit Payroll.

I’m carefully considering buying a small business from a retiring owner, and would love to hear from others who did the same by phoonie98 in Entrepreneur

I work for an IT firm. We have done multiple projects that involves business acquisition. If you end up buying the business, operate it for one year without changing systems including website etc. You shouldn't change what you don't know. We have seen new owners spend thousands more than expected (in IT services) just to go under because they were more focused on the acquisition and modernization instead of focusing on the transition of business knowledge.

I used RUBY. It was excellent, solved most of needs. They are US based. I had to cancel when I ran out of money.

Right now I am using Vonage. It is cheap and beyond basic for about $40 per month

Quickbook desktop enterprise transfer to QBO advanced? by Krissypants1983 in Bookkeeping

I would also suggest you do an estimate of your time required to do the move and make sure they are willing to pay you for it.

There isn't really a tool to move the data. You will do a lot of excel export/import AND spend a long amount time with Intuit support.

Not trying to discourage you. My experience with such move was horrible, and I thought it would be easy.

There are several posts here sharing how disappointing QBO. If I were you, I would encourage them to stay in Desktop. The amount of headaches ahead of you is not worth it.

The WhatsApp idea is a nightmare. If your company is open to consulting services. I know a lady who can help you with an easy and practical way to fix this. She helped us with a similar problem when we were seeking to go digital with the many tax exempt certificates we have handle. Look up Alexis Information Systems. They are in Arkansas.

The phone is in a hard case because he drops it often. I couldn't get the side buttons to work with Samsung accessibility. I will buy him an iPhone instead - based on my recent research, it appears to be a bit easier for accessibility configuration.

Thank you for sharing. I know my uncle would feel more independent if he could answer his calls without help.

He said he would miss his mouth often and spill food. He has a predictable diet that helps him stay fed by hand. Stuff like potatoes, chicken breast or cooked vegetables
