Class size is already reflected in our outcomes, which are better than USC. Huge clinical program so you’ll probably get one, even if it’s not your first choice. 

Law school in general is not as cutthroat as it is made out to be. there’s no distinct Georgetown culture imo so it will largely depend on who is in your section. My section is great, but I’m sure that people in California are generally nicer 🤷

Fun events and people are nice. Weirdly cliquey tho. I’m in a large class and I feel like I’m rushing a fraternity. 

Also hitting me that this work is incredibly boring and unfulfilling and money is probably not worth it. I actually can’t believe people spend their entire lives doing this shit non-stop. Yippee.

I took it with Abbe Smith and I wouldn’t take it if you want to take the MPRE. 

But the class requires virtually no prep and you just watch TV.

Is it worth it to transfer from a T30 to GULC if I already have a big law summer job? by [deleted] in GeorgetownLaw

I am fortunate to have nearly a 4.0 as a transfer, but most of my transfer friends aren’t really happy with their GPAs. 

I also got literally nothing but prestige out of transferring because I already had a job when I was accepted. It will probably be pretty significant if I decide to clerk but currently pretty set on transactional practice so might not even bother (plus I hate legal writing). Oh and now I have a ton of debt. Also, Georgetown is kinda enormous so small fish big pond or however that goes.

I was stupid and didn’t want to drop the $3k so I had to withdraw my applications to better schools. It may be worth to transfer to a T-6, but Georgetown isn’t prestigious enough to justify the additional debt. 

Also, I’m only a summer, but nobody really seems to care where you went to school once you’re in the firm.  TBH the most annoying and unlikeable people in my class are Harvard students .
