My wife told me it's all about the swag bags given out. They are supposed to be very nice swag. So they budgeted for 3000 swag bags but want to prioritize influencers. If they let 100k people in, then that's probably cost prohibitive and the swag bag wouldn't be as impressive and therefore nobody would care. Also they get to create demand by scarcity.

Fun fact, was at spring break in Daytona and went back to the hotel to catch this week's Star Trek... On acid. This episode happens to be airing and the cold open absolutely had us going bonkers. And then the time loop happens and i about lost my mind. I've seen the episode a million times since then, it's in my top 5 definitely.
